ok so i see everyone wearing these "crocs" all over the place? does anyone have any experience wearing these at dw? are they something i should invest into since we will be doing allot of walking??

Crocs have been being worn by WDW visitors for at least 3 years now....some people swear by them. Personally I like 2 pair of sneakers.

I wore my crocs the whole time we were at WDW in July (10-16th). They were fabulous! I didn't even need to wear socks with them. My feet usually hurt horribly after a long day in the parks wearing tennis shoes, but after a day in crocs, I was still ready and raring to go!

I can't say enough about them as far as being something good to wear to WDW.

However, some people love them, others hate them. Best bet is to try a pair before going to WDW. Also...I wouldn't buy the cheapie knockoffs... *shrugs* but that is just me...I don't trust knockoffs as a general rule.

Good luck.

Ok, I have to say this...I've kept it inside long enough and I'm just going to blurt it out...
I HATE THOSE STUPID LOOKING CROCS!!!!!! They are the ugliest things I have ever seen in my life!!!

AHHHHHH, I feel better!!!

My DD and I wore our Crocs the entire time at WDW two weeks ago. Never got a blister and they were great after getting wet in the rain, on Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids. When they got dirty - just wiped them clean. They were great at the Blizzard Beach too. Some people think they are ugly but I'll go for comfort anytime! I teach school and I'm wearing them to school next week. The kids will love the colours and I even have an apple jibbitz I found at the Croc store at the Orlando airport. I think they are fun to wear and my daughter refuses to wear anything else.
I say try them before you go and honestly do you care if some people think they are ugly - I don't!!!!!
:tinker:

i got the same reaction when i asked someone i know what they think of them and they just looked at me said " please tell me your not thinking of getting thosse ugly things?" a walk in them will tell....

I don't care if OTHER people think they are ugly...I think they are! Just my personal opinion, people!!

I got the flip flops as they are not quite as freaky deaky looking as the others. DD6 has the clogs and while they look cute on her, I tried them on, looked in a mirror and thought...ewwww, so not cuuuuuuuuute. I also wonder what she will think in 10 years when we look at pics of the trip. I am going to have to remind her that she BEGGED me to buy her those ugly shoes. :sunny:

PS The flip flops are great...wore them for 10 days at WDW in June, and my dawgs didn't howl once!

I have to say, after reading so much about Crocs here, I really thought more people would have been wearing them at WDW. I only saw about 5 -10 people a day wearing Crocs, usually kids in brightly colored ones. I wore some New Balance walking shoes and didn't get any blisters or sore spots. I already had the sneakers and I tried on a pair of Crocs, but my toes touched the roof of the shoe and they did not feel comfortable in the store. A good pair of walking shoes, whether they are sneakers or flops or Crocs, is a necessity.

I love my Crocs. I had surgery on my foot a couple of years ago & I have a hard time finding shoes that don't hurt my feet. The Crocs are like walking on air. As soon as I get home from work I put them on. They are more comfortable than going barefoot. But, yes they are UGLY. Worse yet, I can't stand the little nubby things on the inside. So I wear them with socks. Now that's REALLY stupid looking, but in the park I'm more concerned with comfort than fashion. My daughter doesn't want to be seen with me, so I don't wear them in public at home. But at WDW, hey, I'll never see these people again anyway, so who cares. At least I don't get blisters the way I do with sneakers.

***AMEN!!!*** :lmao:

Honestly, I have never worn them, but it would be hard to believe that anything that ugly, could be "so" comfortable. And even if they are that comfortable, who cares? They are still so ugly. I want my feet to feel good, but I also need to make some kind of fashion statement. That aint it. :sad2:

I agree they are ugly, but so, so comfortable. I'm not at WDW to make a fashion statement!

I have always thought crocs were ugly as heck but after reading all the posts I'm seriously thinking of going for some!!! If they will stop tired feet from slowing me down at the end of a long day i the parks I'm for them!!! DJ :sulley: :goofy: :maleficen :hmghost: :ccat:

My neighbors were wearing Crocs all summer and they just loved them (2 young teenage girls and mom). After reading about them on these boards, I finally ordered a pair (navy blue Endeavors- the style w/no holes). When I got them I couldn't believe how good they felt. I sprained my left ankle very badly in March. I tore 3 ligaments and bruised my foot and ankle bones. The doctor said it will take a few more months until it feels "normal" again. In the meantime, I need exercise and I need to build up stamina for all the walking we will do in WDW in December. I've been walking around a lot in my Crocs for the last few weeks. I wear them to work with no problems (5 hours a day in a preschool classroom) and I walk to pick up my boys afterschool each day. I love them! Yes, they look a little "different" than the shoes I'm used to wearing. But with my bad ankle, I take comfort over looks these days!
