OK this is going to sound REALLY random (because it is) but I was watching a movie with my kids the other day, and the commercial for WDW reminded me of one I saw as a kid, where the little boy (and I think his dad) want to go to WDW and the mom basically says not until the baby is walking but then she sees the little boy playing with his sister and decides to take them before she learns to walk and then she learns to walk when she sees Mickey mouse.

ANYWAYS, does anyone happen to remember what video that was on? Because now its bugging me...and I don't even know WHY. I'm such a sucker for cheesy WDW commercials...

I know exactly what you are talking about, but I don't remember which movie either. It's an older commercial, so it's probably on an old Disney video tape.

I remember that commercial and I remember it being on regular tv. I always got sappy when that one came on.

It's not that old is it?? I must be getting old!! I know we have that on one of our videos, probably a few, but I don't know which ones. I saw it on tv too.

Arminda started walking while we were in Florida, so I've always liked that commercial.

I always liked the one where the little boy says, "We're too excited to sleep!" too! I know just how he feels!!!

Did you check Youtube?

Oh my Mom and I always quote that commercial (too excited to sleep). Love that! I remember the walking commerical too but can not remember when it was out.

OMG! I love that comercial, but like everyone else, don't know what movie, sorry! :confused3

DisDancerina - Nice signature ;) I used to have it, too.

I love that commercial! I don't know what it's from, sorry.

Oh, I just saw the one with the little girl learning to walk the other day on a video my DS5 was watching. Now, I can't remember for sure which one it was, but he has been watching Toy Story over and over:happytv: lately. My guess is that (the oringal VHS) or maybe The Tigger Movie.

I just asked my 4-year-old, and he concurs--it's on the Toy Story VHS. That movie has been playing a lot around here lately, so that commercial is fresh in my mind!

Oh, I got all teary-eyed. I loved the commercial with the mom & son in the elevator & the son mentioning that the mom called his little sibling a "Disney souvenir". We have a "Disney souvenir"!! So it hits home!

yep! It's toy story. My son has watched it a few times this week and I have seen that commercial. It's very sweet.

WOW...you were a KID when you saw that??? It seems to me like it wasn't all that long ago when I would see that on TV all the time! Out of curiosity, how old are you? (I'm 46)

I was just talking about this commercial today!! We will be celebrating our son's 1st bday at Disney. I told Grandma that maybe he would walk to Mickey. Wouldn't that be great.

It doesn't seem like very long ago does it? If my math is correct tonight, Toy Story came out in theaters in 1995 and Disney celebrated it's 25th starting in Oct. 1996 so we are looking at 12 or so years ago. Where does the time go.:scared1:

That commercial caused me a lot of problems. :goodvibes First trip to Disney was when DD was almost three and we wanted her completely potty trained. We told her Mickey did not allow little girls who weren't potty trained and she'd have to be fully trained before we could go. Well, she was but when we got home she saw that commercial and wanted to know why Mickey would allow a little girl who couldn't walk, but not her unless she was potty trained!?
