Weird Dining Question...

I was looking at the California Grill menu. I mainly picked this place because of the sushi both my DS's LOVE sushi especially with real crab not the immatation stuff, and we want a cake from Chef Brian for our younger DS's birthday and because DH Loved the menu. I not so much but I am sure my picky self can find something. While looking at the menu I sighed at how much DS would LOVE to order sushi but they do not carry it on the childrens menu.

Here is my question Can I order it for my ds they order off the kids menu and we just switch plates? We are on the DxDDP. Its not like the kids menu is overly appealing to me I just want to make them happy and I only like limited sushi. (I don't want to say I really don't care for it as I have a friend that lived in Japan for a few years and she knows what to order for my picky self and I always like it. I have tried to order it and always get something that makes my taste bud very angry. And this friend is not coming with us ) so I don't order it unless I know what I like from that place and without my friend I refuse to try new sushi lol!

But My Boys Love it and I really want them to have it as an option if they want so I am looking ahead to see if this my be a possible option for them if that is what they wanted in that momment.

Of course you can, just order the sushi for DS and then the kids plate for yourself .Have done this many times as my kids don't like processed kids food Disney has for kids meals Thank goodness they are both over 10 this year!Yeah real food for mom.

We usually go to California Grill every time we visit WDW. We are always on the dining plan (not the deluxe). We ask our waitress/waiter if we can have a sushi sample as an app. We mix shrimp tempura and cali rolls. It isnt on the menu but they are more than willing to make you want you want. I don't think you will have a problem getting the sushi you want no matter if it is on the menu. Enjoy.

Yes, you can switch plates but (especially if this is a birthday treat) why not just let everyone get what they want and pay OOP for anything not covered?

CG is more than just sushi. While their sushi is wonderful (Spicy Kazaan Roll is to die for!) they have so much to offer I'd hate to hear you went there & had to suffer through a kids meal
