My friend and I are joining Weight Watchers AGAIN this coming Thursday night (for like the millionth time) We've done the points system. Never did the momentum thing. Do you use this WITH the points or is it something totally different. Can someone give me a quick run down on what it's like and do you like it better than doing just the points? Thanks!!!

I just joined again this past Saturday, and the only difference I can tell is that they have combined the flex and points kind of. They have the book of foods and they have the filling foods in green with a diamond next to it. The idea is to pick your filling foods first. At least that is the only change I can see. You still get the 35 extra points per week. Here's hoping this time is the charm. If I don't stick to it this time no Disney for me in December.

Momentum is the combination of Core and Flex. There is a list of "filling foods" (the old core list) which are now assigned a point value and you are encouraged to choose the filling foods first in order to help you to feel satisfied longer. The amount of liquid required daily is now not necessarily water, just 6 glasses of fluid. Basically the same plan but tweaked.

You can follow "Simply Filling" if you do not want to count points for all of your foods, just the 35 weekly points and the activity points, but the leaders are not pushing this, they really prefer to stay on the Momentum plan.
