Weight loss for Wishers and becoming Leaner Meaners!

Hi Lean Meaners. I'm with Maria and this is probably my last post before we leave on Thursday.
Julie...it's alot of work leaving the kiddos behind and I worry about the same things. I always just keep praying that everyone stays healthy and no one gets hurt. Our flight leaves at 7am:scared1:--that's an early time to be drinking and especially for someone like me who's really not a drinker. I'll probably just pour something in my coffee. I'm stating to think a Xanax would be easier;) .
Jeff...the aquarium looks really cool. Your girls must have had a blast.
Maria...that's awesome that DS has his own scheduling book. It's hard to keep everything straight. I try to make it as easy as I can for my mom, but 4 kids is alot for anyone:scared1: . I still need to make one more grocery trip. I keep making lists of things that are already packed and we still haven't put our clothes in because we can't decide on more shorts and short sleeve shirts:confused3 ! Oh well, no matter what, it'll be great. We have reservations for Sat. at California Grill and I can't wait.:)
Mike....Oh no, not knee problems again. Take care.
I'm looking so forward to meeting lots of people and everyone else will definitely be missed. Have a great weekend everybody.

We leave on Thursday and get into Orlando at 5:35 pm. Then it's off to the grocery store, and on to CSR.

I'll be thinking of everyone as we go -- jealous of those already cozily esconced in Orlando, hoping for safe travel for those of us in motion, and wishing for a future trip for those of you at home.

Tracey -- I don't know how you begin to do it with 4 kids! I suspect it helps if they arrive individually (no quads), but still -- you rock!

Mike -- I'm really hoping for no knee issues on Saturday. It may be a hope in vain, but with luck and adrenaline I won't feel a thing!

This packing thing is going to make me crazy. I don't know what temperature to prepare for (it keeps changing), and I don't want to overpack...I wish I was omniscient!

Maria

Hey all!

Tracey I would definitely say more shorts...It's fairly humid and warm here today. You are coming from somewhere cold, so I am sure it will feel super warm to you.

Cough is MUCH better today. Lots of rest yesterday!

Can't wait to meet everyone! :goodvibes

I want to be sure to get on here to WISH all of you going to WDW safe travels. Please have fun for me too!! I'm sitting here remembering how wonderful our trip was last year. Enjoy and good luck!!! Looking forward to hearing all about it next week.

Cindy

Hey all, I made it to SLC on the red-eye. Full plane, so no seats to lay down across and sleep over the ocean. Don't these people know I have some important running to do, and I need to be rested?

The University of Hawaii men's basketball team were all in the back of the plane sleeping. So the two trips I made to the lavatory, I had to climb over their feet and legs sticking out into the isle.

Another hour, and I'll be on my connection to MCO. Hope to get some sleep on this one.

Going to rustle up some grub.

See you all at Mickey & Minnie's place.

2400 yard swim.

Never swam that far before.

Twas a long way, but its in the books.

Its true, the only easy day was YESTERDAY!

Good luck to everyone traveling for the event this weekend!

Mike

I want to be sure this thread doesn't drop too far down while almost everyone is away at WDW.

Mike: Good job at the 2400 yds. Sure does sound like a far way.

Jeff: Hopefully you completed your trek to WDW safely. Have fun!!

Amy: Hope your cough is better.

Maria, Tracey, Julie: Hope you have arrived safely and are LOVING it. Lots of luck to you.

Beth, Connie, all the rest of us not lucky enough to be at WDW right now: Hope all is well with you.

Have a great day everyone.

Cindy, it's you and me to keep this thread ALIVE! I hope all those in WDW are having a blast......but, I would love to be on vacay too!

Eating is back where it needs to be......but no weight loss yet! I will wait patiently until my body decides to drop it!

I did an hour of weights last night.......just doing my part for the effort!

Beth

Just doing a bit of a check in and hello from WDW. I know that Cindy, Beth, Connie, and Mike (who am I missing?) are doing a great job of keeping the thread alive this weekend, and wanted you two to know we're thinking about you and WISHing you were here! :goodvibes

Hey Beth, I'll do my best to keep up my end of the conversation. I wish I could say my eating was going well, but I'm having a hard time finding a groove again. I thought it was back once I got back to a work/school schedule, but then yesterday was a snow day and I managed to find some oreos. Luckily the running is going OK. I have 10 planned for tomorrow so that should burn a few calories. Good job for you doing the weights.

Debra: Thanks for checking in. Glad you made it there safely. Enjoy yourself.

Anyone else reading this: Have a great night.

Cindy

Cindy: My kids are really griping.....I have NO snacks in the house. Better that way right now. I am trying to cut the sugar, and if it's here I will eat it!

Beth

Beth, I normally buy snacks that don't tempt me, the oreos were leftover from Christmas. Some days though even teddy grahams will tempt me. Good luck avoiding the sugar.

Cindy

Every time I get caught up eating crap I don't even like, I have to wonder.....WTH? Been there and done that! It's it just the sugar? But, Oreo's I likey! If I had them in the house last night, they wouldn't be there anymore.......:sad2:

I feel your pain Beth. I try to just FIDO those episodes.

FIDO = Forget It and Drive On

OK, I'll admit, I forced that....

So, I'm up 90 min before my spin class, so I thought i would bump this thread.

I got antsy yesterday, so I went to the pool and got in another 900 yards...didn't feel like much, but I can remember when 300 was a HUGE deal, so I guess I'm making incremental progress.

Knees still hurt; interestingly, I FEEL skinnier, but the scale hasn't moved...on the other hand, I've only been on the plan for a week, but really do think things are starting to reposition...I might be carrying the fat a little higher now!

Anyway, training plan calls for 1:20 on the bike; I figure if I do 1:15 spin class thats good enough.

After that, its off to LBS to get a new seat so that some pressure I've been feeling in the aero position gets relieved, and then back home to hearth and family so DW can go to work.

Mike

Thanks for the bump Mike! I hope your knee gets better soon....what a drag. I know what you mean about the 'skinny' feeling.....it's a great feeling. Sometimes enough for me, even with the scale staying still.

I took the day off yesterday. My legs were really tired.......I will be back at it today though. Heading to the gym with the whole family! (((((That has it good points and bad!))))))

Beth

Hey all, way to go!!!

Marcia and I took our time, finished 2:24:35. Took our time so that we can race tomorrow!

Everyone running Sunday, keep hydrated, and get some rest. See you out on the road.

Good Morning from snowy New England. 6 inches of new snow last night.

Mike: Glad you are feeling skinny. Sorry the knees are hurting. It's pretty cool how we adjust our frame of thinking about how far is far. Oh yeah, just another 900 yards of swimming... Hope the spin class was good.

Beth: Hope you are feeling more rested. Hope the family gym time was good.

Jeff: Thanks for the update. I know you're off and running right now. Hope it's going well.

I'm going to try to get on the TM for a speed workout today. From the frigid forecast for the week it looks like I'll be spending a lot of time on the TM this week. I'm glad that I at least have the option.

Have a great day everyone.

Cindy

Good morning Meaners! Today will be busy, since my Nancy is still on vacay! Just wanted to say 'hi' and that I am thinking about you!
