?? Weeks surrounding Easter.... any discounts?

If I remember right.... last year there weren't any discounts the week before and after Easter??
Can anyone confirm?

We want to plan a trip during DD spring break which is the week before Easter. March 28-April 3. Easter is the 5th.
And I plan to have an Annual Pass.
Were there AP discounts last year at that time? Or any resort discounts?

Need to know if I should start working extra hours at my part-time job? haha

One thing I remember for sure is my exact Easter trip dates were blacked out last Easter, and every day around my dates had a discount (figures). My dates were the week leading to Easter Sunday. I believe discounts started up again on the Monday after Easter.

Your projected dates for next Easter sound almost exactly like mine. And we also have AP's. There was not an AP discount for that week last Easter. But Cheaptickets/Orbitz did offer a deal -- I think it was 20% -- so I booked that as it was better than nothing. In the past, AAA also offered a deal (smaller percentage than Orbitz was offering), but last I knew they were still negotiating for 2015.

Only consolation is with the lack of discounts during that week, last Easter was not crowded at all. Resorts were definitely not busy...MK was pretty busy each afternoon though....but the rest of the parks were fine. The only glitch I can predict is with Easter being earlier next year, it will most likely be more crowded due to a busier time of year (late March/early April). Easter is perfect in Disney when it falls in later April....

Hopefully this year will be different.
We don't have many options with when to go.... family of all teachers here!
We are fine with crowds... but the prices have gotten out of control.

I agree rack rate is way out of control, especially for Easter time, which is why I suspect resorts haven't been booked at Easter lately. We'll see what happens this next Easter when it falls earlier.

We are also fine with crowds. Especially now with the FP+ system. We went to Disney last Easter and also 4th of July week -- it was a breeze getting on and off rides w/o waiting in lines. Crowds had no affect on us.
