Weekly Photo Contest - thru _FRI_ Jan 9 - The Other Orlando

I'm posting the entry thread a little early this week. I'll be unavailable next weekend so the entry deadline has been moved up by a couple of days. The deadline is 10pm ET on Fri January 9th. Voting threads will be posted shortly after that and run through 18th.

Topic: The Other Orlando

Photos from Orlando area attractions outside of WDW. While I'm sure there are plenty of Sea World and Universal photos that can be entered, let's not forget the other attractions, especially those that have been around a long time (e.g. Gatorland) or those of the past (e.g. Xanadu, Spendid China, etc.).

Remember: Pictures should be as original as possible with minimal editing. This is a photography contest, not a photo editing contest. Please post your entry by 10 pm ET, Friday , January 9, 2009 to ensure it will be included in voting.

Well, I can't enter this one...but I'll post just to bump it up! Nice to see other folks' views from around the area.

I've never gone to the Orlando area unless it was to go to Disney World, and the only times I've strayed off World property is to stay at a hotel nearby or shop or eat...and I don't take photos of those things. I couldn't go see another attraction up there, as I'd feel I'm cheating on Disney behind its back. Who would even know there are any other attractions up there except Disney?

(Just joking...I have been to Universal, Sea World, and back in the day a few of the old 192 attractions in the '70s...I just don't have any photos from those places).

I would not have Sea World shots if I had not gone there with my work. It was cool seeing the behind the scenes stuff and being only about five feet from the whales.
