Hello Strangers!!!! We finish up our outdoor soccer season this morning, it will be freezing but fun. Hoping to maintain our first place position?? The second place team is on our tail though so it is close!! So send some pixie dust my DD1's way. :cheer2: Then we should get a little more sanity in the house, with basketball being our only sport for the winter (until indoor soccer starts up later into winter).

I hope to be able to scrapbook today after I do some household chores! We do not have a single thing on the calendar for tomorrow, so I am hoping for some mom time??

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Thinking about joining in on your threads! Have recently moved into our new home and life is settling down, so a bit more time for the computer and fun! I love the disboards overall. I am a scrapbooker, so I often lurk on the creative pages!

This weekend the weather is chilly here in the midwest.
Today, I need to dye my hair-the roots are too dark.
Pick up daughter #1 from a sleepover.
Back home to work on invites for the 8 yrs old (dtr #2) birthday. The theme is rolling out the red carpet for a Hollywood Party. Cricut will be a rolling out stars for the red carpet the girls will place their names on! Looking foward to getting all the details finalized.
This afternoon, off the Barnes and Noble to spend a gift card and then organzing my closet.
Maybe, a bonfire this evening.

Tommorrow, its a pumpkin carving party with my parents and kids-so looking foward to a batch of cheesy chicken and veggie chowder and pumpkin fritters for dessert!

To everyone-thanks for letting me join in and have a fabulous and maybe relaxing weekend!!:cool1:

Good Morning!

Prayers and pixie dust to all those in need.

Hope everyone on the east coast is prepared for Sandy. We still have a few things to get done today. Clean storm drain if front of our house, mow and sweep up leaves.

Quick trip to the grocery store for some non perishables just in case.

Figure out how to email a video from last night's game.

Then I plan to cut pieces for the epcot swap, and scrap.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good Morning!

I've been working on the finishing touches to my outfit for work today. We can wear costumes today through Halloween. I've got a different one for each day. Luckily I'm off tomorrow as I only have 4 right now and I would have needed 5!

I meet our interim (through Christmas) store manager today so I thought I should go kind of simple on the costume so he doesn't think I'm a complete goof. I know there will only be a few of us who will dress up. I used all Michaels supplies on today's outfit (t-shirt, fabric paint, pipe cleaners, and pom poms) so that I can maybe inspire some of the customers who lack creativity. I'm wearing an orange t-shirt that I painted "EEK" on and then made spiders from different colors of pipe cleaners and pom poms and they are climbing on my shirt. I also covered a headband in pipe cleaners and then hung more spiders from it as well as attached a couple of spiders to hair clips and put them in my hair. Hopefully the new manager isn't scared of spiders!:rotfl2:

Have a wonderful day everyone!

party::welcome:party:
another scrapbooker yeah!!!
that b-day party sounds really fun

Michelle - stay warm in that soccer game
Buffy - stay safe - I'm assuming Sandy is heading your way
Cassey - what are you making for the Epcot Swap??
Stephanie - that spider costume sounds really neat - I saw a thing from tulip paint where they made a necklace out of the paint (one was a spiderweb) where you lay the paint on something in the design & let dry 24 hours then put it around your neck & stick the two ends together - saw it on facebook
the other one was blood dripping down - really neat looking (did say if you move around alot then you might want to saftey pin it)

there found it - really cool

We won 5 to 0 :cheer2: It was cold too!!!!!!

The second place team has two games this weekend though, so if they win both games by two or more goals then they could still win or tie for first. (The way the point system works) So now we wait : ) Either way we take first or second.

I just may take a nap. I am hoping I am in the crafty mood tomorrow. Today is filling up.

Looks like everyone has a busy weekend!

Congrats on the win!

Cupcakes are almost done. Going to start frosting in just a few. Have to get Dbf cutting out his fabric. We'll see how his costume comes along.

Yea!! big thunder mt is done:cool1::cool1::cool1:
it is on my blog:rolleyes1

congrats on winning the soccer game:cheer2:

Invites are done!! So cute! Heading to try on Halloween costumes for the kids to make sure all is ready to Wed! Then off to organize and arrange my closet.

Would love to post a pic of my invites-they turned out better than I thought-will try and figure that out in a bit-not the most computer savy!

I'm finally home! We left around noon to do some errands and just got home. Lunch at 5 Guys, I'm still stuffed! My sister is picking Morgan up at 6:30 to go to Hotel Halloween, a play at the town performing arts center. DH and I are watching a movie and having a "date."

Made cupcakes for another sister's party this morning. They came out good, getting used to using my tips for icing.

Tomorrow is the corn maze, here's hoping the weather holds for at least tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good weekend :)

Good evening all!!

:welcome: castlecrew!!! Enjoy our cozy little corner of the DIS!!!

I'm checking in after a long fun filled day with DD!!! She gave DS16 a campus tour... we walked campus, DS12 did rock climbing for the first time and made it to 2 rocks from the top!!! He is a natural!!!

DS16 did like the school alot here... so now to see if we can set up and meet w/ a professor (with DD's help of course w/ her connections as an Ambassador), another formal campus visit, and maybe talk to coach...

Loving the campus and DD is hilarious!!! Parents and families were everywhere!! It was nice to see all the support that the college kids get!!!

Tomorrow we are doing breakfast and some sight seeing then we are headed home..school week is fast approaching and DD fessed up she has a lab practical to study for tomorrow for test on Monday..

Hope everyone continues to have a great and wonderful weekend!!
To those in the path of Sandy stay safe and take care of yourselves... I have not heard much being out and about..

Well another weekend almost over. Yesterday another sleepless day as we went to the last Philadelphia Union game on minimal sleep. I worked til 7 am saturday morning. Came home went back to bed. DD 13 went to party came home and we watched a little tv with her. Today will be preparing for Sandy. And making sure DH will have everything he needs if he needs to leave house in a hurry as I will be at work. I just hope they let me leave Monday morning.
I hope everyone is well.

Looks like Sandy will make landfall in New Jersey but we'll be affected by wind and rain. We've got all our outside stuff cleared out. Hoping we don't lose power. I will be moving to a hotel if that happens.

Supposed to just be cloudy today, so we're off to the corn maze with most of our girl scout troop.

Stay safe, all!

They canceled school around 3:00. DH called to tell me, a large cheer went up from the 4 girls with me. No school = no work for me some I'm pleased.

Did the weather hold for the corn maze Jen? Make it through this time?

Sending luxor dust to all the east coast ladies.

Spent too much time at the party yesterday and at wall mart waiting on pics to be done. Some jerk ordered close to 1200 pics through the 1 hour photo. You kidding me?

We ran home ate, grabbed some make shift costumes and car decor. We went as Disney tourists, ponchos, ear, lanyards. DD passed out candy from a suitcase. Ds was Yoda, girls were princesses. We were recognized :)

I've got a case of the run raggeds today so not much has been.done. made breakfast. Did some cleaning, started laundry, flipped through catalogs for work, watched boarders marathon :) kiddos played outside in the mud, need to figure out dinner and make mini pumpkin pies for preschool.

This was a different maze, closer to home, and MUCH easier! It was their last day, so we could go through the non-paths if we needed to, and since the corn was pretty much dead, we could see through it to where we needed to go. It sprinkled, but the girls had fun. :)
