Assuming the hours stay the same, we'd like to maybe go to late breakfast before we got to Epcot. We're staying at WBC offsite but on property, so we'll be driving to parks, but would prefer to stay in the bubble if at all possible, but it looks like almost nowhere is open for breakfast right now?
We care more about food than characters, so Topolinos doesn't seem worth the $ to me. Would we see any animals at Sanaa breakfast? Its QS but might be worth drive over there? Could we kill an hour or more at AKL after eating?

Any other suggestions? Homecomin' brunch would be super up our alley but its weekends only and this will be a Tuesday.

Yes, you can see animals at Sanaa during breakfast, and we think the food there is pretty good. After breakfast, you can go out into the savanna overlook area. You can also walk over t0 Jambo. Their lobby and animals viewing areas are open.

It is possible that you will not be able to enter the resort without an ADR.

I would consider Ale & Compass at the YC. If you have an ADR, you can park at the resort and then you could just drive and park at EP when you are done. If you have some time to kill, you could walk around the Boardwalk and check out the gift shops. A little out of the way, but you could also do the Wave at CR and ride the monorail afterward if you have time to kill. WCC at WL is also very nice and the lobby is gorgeous. If you ask the front desk, they usually have a handout available detailing all of the artifacts and totem poles in the lobby so you can take yourself on a tour. You can also go next door to Boulder Ridge and see some of Walt's original backyard train cars.

Unfortunately the last breakfast I had at Ale and Compass was horrible-bad food and bad service. What I ordered was an omelet with a side of fruit. The "side of fruit" consisted of 1 thin slice of orange and 2 blueberries. If I could have found my server (she hustled away as soon as she put the dish down), I would have asked for the manager. My fault! I should have asked the hostess as I left.

I had chosen Ale and Compass over Trattoni el Forto (I probably misspelled that-sorry! That's where I'll go next time.

We had a great brunch at Grand Floridian Cafe. Olivia’s is pretty good too, with easy parking.

That's unfortunate. We've eaten breakfast there several times and always had a good experience. We actually didn't like Trattoria. We did the walk-up, a la carte option and the room we were seated in was very small and crowded. The food was ok but it took forever to be served.

I'm tempted to give them a second chance-I've heard so many positive reviews. I remember when Boatrights served breakfast. Went there once and hated it-terrible service and food. About 10 years later I decided to give them a second chance. This time everything was great-the nicest server and those delicious sweet potato pancakes. Then, right after that they closed. Learned my lesson-don't wait so long for the second chance.

I always try to give a place at least 2 chances

*w the caveat if we had an abysmal time or an amazing time we may not go back

I TOTALLY forgot about WCC for breakfast. My husband has been sad we aren't working in a dinner there, so this is a great alternative!!
On the skillets there, it looks like not everyone has to order it, right? So my mom (a light, healthier eater) could get an oatmeal or something if the rest of us got them? I know that's different than most AYCTE places so I wanted to check!

Yes, you are correct regarding the skillets! Not everyone has to order it. I've done the same when going to WCC - my DS13 loves the skillets while I typically order something, smaller, a la carte.

Epcot: Trattoria Al Forno @ Boardwalk, Ale & Compass Restaurant @ Beach & Yacht Club, or Fresh Mediterranean Market @ WDW Dolphin Hotel

Then you can walk straight to the park.

We probably wouldn't be allowed to leave a car at those resorts though right?

They have a light, healthy skillet that includes oatmeal. (I had enough food left over for a second meal another day).
