Does anyone know what is going on that week? There are absolutely no rooms left in DVC, of any size, for that week. There are still rooms available for October, but not that week. Even the Swan & Dolphin are sold out. I looked everywhere and do not see any huge conferences, this is usually a slow week of the year.

With all the extra points out there, probably people just booking rooms to burn them. Also the 50th Anniversary starts in October but people might be hoping to see all the new upgrades for the 50th on the Castle and other attractions and Resorts.

Oh no, I will be there that week (arriving on the 18th), for the first time since the closure. Was hoping it would be not as crowded as October 1st and onwards.

I would guess this, like most things during this time, comes down to the large number of points left over from all the cancellations and rescheduled trips.

saratoga looks wide open (unless that was your only no-go :-) )

I own SSR and BCV but we need a studio due to the lovely 50% limit...I have 500 points that I cannot use. The one bedroom must have just opened again, there was nothing on Monday. If they free up points, I am grabbing the 1 bar, it is a surprise for my parents, we are afraid that this may be our last chance to take my mom. Her health declined a bit last year with the lack of in person contact and lack of early year medical care.

I am kinda hoping it is European DVC families that are still hoping everything will open up for them, sad for them if they have to cancel, but could be a good thing for the wait list. I do not wish them that sadness, but it would make more sense. I hate this all and wish we were all back to normal and WDW is my happy place again.

We'll also be there from the 19th to 24th. Still watching for a studio to open up the 18th. We were there the week after Easter and it was really crowded, was hoping for a less crowded trip, but it's Disney, we'll still have fun!!

Nothing special going on that week. You are only four months out and thus having very limited availability is not unusual, including if you also consider: (a) Sep has the lowest and second lowest point costs of the year, (b) there is some excess demand resulting from covid closure, including those with many banked points, and (c) a ticket deal (buy at least 4 days get two free) which applies only to tickets that will be used before Oct 1, and prices of 4-day and greater tickets are otherwise at lower prices than most of rest of year.

Plus, there is almost certainly going to be at least one Boo Bash scheduled for that week. :)
