week of 11/25 ,12/2, or12/9 advice please....

hi folks...talked to mem.services regarding a stay at vwl, bw, or okw for three different possible vacation scenarios today. cm was very nice and suggested that the week of 12/9 would be much less crowded in general than the weeks of 11/25 or 12/2 . we booked a 2 bedroom at the vwl for 12/9-12/19 as a result. any recent experience with this? i am concerned as i have read the closer to christmas it gets, the crowds grow and also the colder the weather may get. am thrilled to be going just a bit nervous over my choice of dates....thanks everyone in advance!

I will be there (BWV) from 12/8-12/15 this year. I generally prefer the week of 12/2, but the past couple years have been unable to book that week at the 10 month mark. You shouldn't begin to see a noticeable increase in crowds until you get closer to the 19th. This past december, I was there from 12/8-12/18. I often saw the fast passes at 30 minutes while the regular lines were only 10 minutes for Space Mtn, 20 minutes for Splash Mtn and 25 minuts for RnR Coaster. The weather should be upper 60's to 70's and the resorts will be decked out for XMas. You will love your choice!

We are going 12/9-12/14. We have gone at this time the last few years. We used to go the week after Thanksgiving. The 2nd week of Dec. seems to be better because all the folks that come for Thanksgiving and stay for a while are gone but the folks coming for Christmas don't come until closer to Christmas, so there is a little lull which we love!!

The DVC annual meetings are generally held within the two after Thanksgiving. This might account for the fact that a room is hard to get at this point.

You picked the best time of the 3 choices. You should not have any problem with crowds at all. The 19th is a Wednesday. There won't be anyone there until the weekend before Christmas. Also the attendance is way down right now because of the economy. So you should have less people than normal. The weather is great that time of year. You can go swimming with the heated pools. You may even get lucky and be able to lay around by the pool. Have fun. It is the best time of year to go to WDW

Last year we were in a 2 bedroom at OKW from 12/3-12/13. The first 5 days were quite crowded, but the last 5 were wonderful. It seems the Pop Warner leagues have their people there the first week of December.

We were at OKW last year from 12/13-12/21 and the parks really didn't start to get crowded until the last couple of days. Otherwise it is a wonderful time to go. We are going a little earlier this year (12/3-12/11) and are hoping that the crowds are as good as last year.
