Has anyone ever rented a stroller for a week? If so, how much?

I think I"m too late for the DIS stroller swap.

You might try the company "All About Kids"...I used them a few years ago when my daughter and children went with us. They deliver and pick-up, for a charge.. The paper I have from back then has a rental price by the day or week.
The ligjhtweight stroller (non-reclining) at that time was $25.00 for the week and they went up from there. You'd probably be better off to just go and buy one from Walmart down there for half that amount. If you need a big stroller they were renting at that time for 30.00 for the week. They also have everything else from car seats to play pens....
their web site is www.All-About-Kids,com

When you put it in, change the comma before com to a period... I got it to work. Just a typo.

I had made a reservation for a stroller, but had to cancel the reservation for our January trip. I got the info here on the DIS. Not sure if it was the same company, but they were very accomodating, and had any baby equiptment you may find yourself needing. If it was a different company, I am sure someone here will give you the name of the co.

Good Luck.

I'm bumping this one - very good question!!!

I think the single stroller in the park is around $7 per day with a 10% discount on a weekly (or more) rental. It may just be a "pay in advance" discount. Can anyone help here?

You also get 1 disney dollar back at the end of each day. We saved our "receipts" and cashed in on our last day - a nice little frozen treat money :Pinkbounc

I do remember when we went in Sept/Dec last year, we got the WDW stroller (DS3). NOT appropriate for infants, but fine for him. We bought "tickets" for the whole stay on the first day of our trip and we got some sort of discount. When we attended we "upgraded" our ticket to a double stroller and just paid $7 more. In hindsight this was a GREAT idea - DS8 joined his brother and we actually were able to stay until closing that night (in freezing cold temps)!!!

The (only) nice thing about the WDW strollers is that you don't have to "deal" with them on the busses/in you car/monorail/etc. Also, after getting one per day in ANY park, just show your "slip" at any other park and get a "free" one. It really is a pay one time per DAY thing, not per park. Also, if you board the train in MK, don't worry about your stroller, just get another at your exit. Oh yeah, also at some shows (fantasmic, lion king) the same thing happens - just take your stuff from your stroller and when you leave the show, pick up any stroller upon exiting. Very nice for a quicker exit at fantasmic.

Well, I hope someone else sees your post and can verify the cost and other details.

Has anyone ever done a "larger kids" stroller exchange? Something like a jogging stroller, maybe?

I found the website that I used... a baby's best friend.... www.abbf.com Give that a try, they were accomodating, and that is the one that I had heard about here on the DIS.

BUT, you would not be able to do as the above poster said about just using it at the parks... you would need to pick it up as though you had a package, and return it at the end of your trip back to the luggage room, and they come and pick it up. I'm sure it is all there on the website, but if you want to be stroller free on the transportation, then this would not be for you. I wanted the stroller for the week b/c we did side trips to relatives, and outlet shopping that I felt I would have needed it for.

As I said above, I did not end up renting the stoller, but this is the company that I had heard recomended here before. Good Luck.

Thanks mousesavers.com!!!! The following is a quote from the webpage:

Strollers
Disney rents strollers at $8 per day for a single, $15 per day for a double. If you return the stroller at the end of the day, they will rebate $1.

Disney offers a discount of 10% (or more) for multi-day stroller rentals. A multi-day rental will also save you time, because you'll be given a receipt that allows you to go up to the cast member dispensing the strollers, have them stamp your receipt, get your stroller and you’re off! No more waiting in the long cashier line to pay for a daily rental. In addition, they will refund any unused days. Thanks to Julie S and Lisa C for additional info.

Hold on to your receipt! If you misplace your stroller, present the receipt and they'll replace it without charge. Also, the fee covers rental for the whole day, even if you "hop" between parks on the same day. So if you start the day at one park and then move on to another park later, keep your receipt from the first park and present it at the stroller rental. They'll issue you a stroller at the second park without additional charge.

Bringing your own stroller will, of course, save you quite a bit of money and insure that you have the stroller available all the time, such as when you're going to and from your hotel. However, this may be counterbalanced by the hassles of getting it to Walt Disney World, particularly if you are flying. If you want to avoid the hassle of transporting a stroller on a plane, you might consider buying a cheap one upon arrival and giving it to another lucky family when you leave.

Just wanted to clear that up since my original post was off a bit on the prices.
