We are Dis people who are thinking about maybe, kinda, sorta giving USO a try during our next trip, but before we commit to anything, wanted to query those who have been at USO the week before Easter in previous years, in order to get a sense of how bad the crowds are.

We know at WDW that we need to be there at RD, power thru until 11 and then head back to the hotel pool until later in the evening, when the parks die down a bit and we can use our FP+'s.

Are crowds stupid crazy at USO as well? If so, is it worth booking a hotel room that we will pay for, but won't use (since we're staying DVC) to get the two days worth of the FOTL passes for the three of us (if my math is correct, it's cheaper to book a room and not use it, than it is to actually purchase the passes)???

My daughter is not a huge HP fan, so we may or may not go on those rides, but for everything else (in a very general sense) what are wait times like with and without the FOTL passes during what I assume is a very busy week?

All responses, advice and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The week before and the week after Easter are JUST AS BUSY at Universal as they are at Disney. Headliners, like Spiderman or Despicable me for example will be over an hour to even longer , with express 15 mins or less -often less .You need to price out what it would cost for purchased express passes vs one nights stay at a Deluxe resort to get them included. Keep in mind...Purchased express passes are priced on projected crowds. The higher the crowds, the higher the cost, and YES they can and do go up in price as the crowds change. Also, unless you buy the unlimited version ( which is pricey) they are only good for ONE ride per eligible attraction .If you book a resort stay, express passes are ONLY included at the 3 deluxe resorts ( royal PAcific, HArd Rock and Portofino Bay). They are not included at the cheapest resort, Cabana Bay.All of the resorts include early entry for resort guests

WE were there two years ago the week before Easter and the place was a madhouse. I personally don't think Universal handles crowds as well as Disney. We got there at opening and got the headliners done early but I remember being jammed in a small place to try and get lunch. It was not a fun experience. Definitely get express pass!!!
