Yay! Our $400 check came in the mail today. Early enough to go to the bank and cash it. Now, what do we do with it... spend it like we're mad? save a little, spend a little? save it all? Decisions, decisions.

my $800 should be arriving any day now, the letter from the IRS came in yesterday's mail. it goes right into the bat mitzvah fund -- november 8 will be here before I know it, and this party is costing me a small fortune.

we got our letter yesterday telling us we were getting $800 back. Yippie just enough to cover book fees and licence plates. No really I am glad because we will be able to pay both of those things and have enough left for dinner out without dipping into savings. Plates are $200 each car and book fees are $150 each kid and we have 2 of each!

Plates are $200 each! How long do you keep them before getting new ones? We pay $36 (for cars) annually to renew and get a sticker.

every year, thats 1/2 of what it use to be. We use to pay 3 or 4 hundred every year for new plates. They do go down a little every year until they reach I think around $75 and thats where they stay. Thats what ds pays for his car and its a 95.

We got our letter from the IRS earlier this week telling us our check would be here in 2 weeks. Dh would have to have the highest last two numbers of his SS#. I think his is 57 but mine is 09...if only they went by my number we would've had our check for $800 already.

Personally, I wanted to spend the money on a Disney Trip. It's been almost a year since we've been and I really want to go for our anniversary this October. Dh says no though because we have bills we need to pay off. He's always all about paying off the bills. Why couldn't I have just married an irresponsible person like me...then I would get to go to Disney World like twice a year and be THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars in debt :) Okay, I take that back, I guess it's a good thing I married a guy that's responsible with his money...I guess one of us needs to be. So the $800 will be used to pay off the Visa's outstanding ballance of $600+ (we had some unexpected car troubles that had to be fixed a couple of months ago)

Gonna turn mine over to DS's preschool, that way he'll be all paid up through November.;)
