Cast Of Characters
DH - Rick (49) - Driver and chief worrier
DW - Julia (42) - Co-Pilot and wanderer (where is your mum?)
DS - Matt (15) - Chief Babe Spotter
DD - Nicole (13) - Disney "wannabee Animator"
This is our 12th visit as a family and first time to Cypress Pointe.
We have surprised the kids twice before but this time is definitely the biggest yet (Suprised will be revealed on Trip Report for Aug/19th).
Day 16 - Aug/25
Going home...Final Thoughts.
Up early and over to McDonalds for breakfast. The drive back to MCO is busier than our trip down. We still arrive at the airport with lots of time to spare.
We are annoyed because we thought we could check in early when the desk appeared to be opened...when in fact the lady serving behind the desk was actaully working for a different airline. We do however get checked in first in line and once again get our choice of seats. Althought the line for security seemed quite long ,we did get through quite quickly.
Once in the Departure Lounge DS and DH went to get a drink and some Cinnabons. While the kids played with their PSPs (which picked up wireless Internet), DH and DW went to the Duty Free Shop. We boughts Wine Gums,Smarties (with a Belle Princess on top) and a bottle of Bacardi for DW's mum. The flight was smooth and on time with no problem.
We arrive in Toronto airport to dismal skies and wall to wall people. We all hate this Airport !
After DS and DH fight to get the luggage from the carousel we head to our limo pick up area who arrives within minutes
Final Thoughts.
All in all this trip was fantastic and we encountered no major problems.
We enjoyed Cypress Pointe very much and would not hesitate to go there again. The weather was great ,the crowds manageable and to top it all off the cruise was amazing. We would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering although it is a bit on the pricey side.
Here are a couple of things that we would have liked to have changed.
1)There is no Buffet dinner restaurant on the Wonder (so therefore no choice for those of us who don't want to go formal every night)
2)The family Goofy pool is way too small for the number of folk its expected to hold (the adult pool was empty a lot of the time)
3)We would like to see the idea implemented where smokers are on one side while non smokers are on the other (also on Castaway Cay we had a smoker close by and his toasted tobacco cigarettes were a bit overpowering).
The ship looked great and is in excellent condition and is going in for rehab in October (to do what....I'm not sure?). Excellent organization and cleanliness.
By the way....our fridge was not replaced when we got back..We had to wait another 3 days before it came!!!
We can't wait to go back to our second home in December!
Thanks to everyone for reading and commenting.
