Sorry about the potential hernia, but I am glad you are healing well.
My mom shattered her elbow 2 summers ago, and her elbow is held together now with stainless steel wire (they could pin or rod it). I know her rehab was no fun for her, but it sounds like you are progressing nicely.
So far our plans have not changed although I may have to have some assistance getting around. I'm more worried about Cedar Point on Memorial Day weekend. I think that I may have more trouble getting around by then.
I've spent the better part of the morning filling out more insurance paperwork. This time it's my fault. I decided to try to work from home during my disability. So I am not "totally" disabled. I have to report my hours to the insurance company so that they can reduce my benefit by the proper amount. As I think I've said before, if I'm ever hurt at work again, I'll just sit on my backside until I'm healed and not try to do any work from home. It's not worth the headaches that it causes.
Quick update - Surgery is scheduled for 1:15PM tomorrow. Before the surgery, I'm going to drop by work to talk with the company doctor (which I didn't even know existed) about whether or not I have a hernia.
No food or drink (including water) after midnight tonight. It's going to be a long Wednesday morning.
Both my DH Todd (reconstructive foot surgery after the arch of his foot collapsed) and MIL (fell and broke all 3 ankle bones) are in leg casts right now, so it seems to be quite the cool thing to have.
Glad to hear that your leg is healing -- albeit slowly. I hope it continues to improve and that the range of motion exercises aren't too painful.
I hope everything with your abdomin is easily fixable. My abdom has been looking strange for 10 years now -- but that's what 2 kids and 35 pounds will do to you.
