Wedding Rehearsal

Hello!! Can anyone give me a little more information about the wedding rehearsal? Is the wedding rehearsal in the same place the wedding will be held? If not does Disney choose a place that will be available? Do we get a few choices for where we have the wedding rehearsal? Is there any other info you think I may need to know? Thanks!!

we got married at the WP. our rehearsal was there as well the morning before. we were told in advance that if there were an event there, that would get the priority and we would rehearse somewhere at the GF. we weren't giving choices as to where else we would like to rehearse. i'm sure the location of your wedding comes into play here, whether or not its in use at the time of the rehearsal.

We are having our ceremony at the wedding pavilion too. It would be nice to it there. I would think out of all the rehearsal spots that would be the one that sees the most events. So when i fill out my planning kit i just out i would prefer the wedding pavilion and they will let me know 30 days out if that's where it will be?

When I went for my planning session we were given a choice of times for the day before the wedding, that were available at that moment. So we have a tentative rehearsal time at the Wedding Pavilion. If an event should occur she said she would let us know before hand. HTH.

that sounds about right! we had a morning wedding and i wanted whatever rehearsal to be done so we could have at least one park day, so it made sense to ask for morning. we never had had the chance to actually be in the WP before or rehearsal - it was being painted when we had our plannins session. so i was really pleased that we got to go there for our rehearsal but yes, we weren't 100% prior to that. honestly though, it really wouldn't have mattered where it was as far as the wedding itself was concerned, but it was nice to be in "our" space!

When we went for our planning session, my planner told me they could only officially let you know 30 days prior to your wedding if you can have your rehearsal at the WP. You can be penciled in for a time slot but not guaranteed. We didn't want to take the chance and wanted to send out information to our guests prior to 30 days. Plus, we wanted a cookout for our rehearsal dinner and the summerhouse was already booked, so we took the St. James patio at Boardwalk and are having our rehearsal in one of the ballrooms there. Our planner pulled up all of the events for that day and let us know what was available and what wasn't all over the Disney property. We probably could have our rehearsal at the WP, but we wanted to keep things close by for our guests and a surprise to what the WP will look like.

We just booked our rehearsal, 30 days out, but were given a lot of options. We were given the option of having at at the WP (our ceremony site), at three times throughout the day, or also at one of the GF ballrooms. My planner also suggested considering one of the boardwalk ballrooms since we are having a DP as our rehearsal "dinner" afterwords. We wanted to have the rehearsal right before the DP because we didn't want to waste a whole day in Disney, or for our guests to have to, so we ended up going with the Boardwalk ballroom. This way our guests can meet us there and we will all take the boats over to the the DP afterwords. I would have preferred to have it in the WP, but there is a 5pm ceremony there.

Our rehearsal was in the WP the day before our ceremony.

I'm glad it was as we all knew exactly where to stand etc.

Not that I remembered a thing at the ceremony!
