Hi sweetie, it's me from the other end of the Lake District!!!! We had our reception meal at Citricos and loved every minute of it. We were just in the main restaurant, so it wasn't very wedding-like in terms of the fact that we didn't do dancing, speeches etc (we did speeches at our little cake/champagne reception after the ceremony). We did, however, have a few touches which made it special. We had our tables set up in what the restaurant called a 'keyhole' design, which is basically one large round table with a long one going off the end so that the bridal couple (us!!) could sit at the head of the large round table and see all our guests!! We had the floral arrangements transferred from the ceremony to the restaurant so these decorated the table and continued the colour scheme. We also had our little favour boxes put out on the table (my daughter did this during our cocktail hour), so our little gifts to our guests were waiting for them when they arrived at the restaurant.
The cast at the restaurant bent over backwards to see our day was magical and we were so impressed with them!!! We really could not have asked for more!!!
I contacted the restaurant manager via e-mail some months before, and she did absolutely everything for me, including making the ADR on my behalf!! I went to meet her the day before our VR and I dropped off the box containing the favours that my daughter was going to put out on the tables. They kept it in the restaurant so we didn't have to worry about dragging it around on the day!!!
All in all, I loved our reception meal and wouldn't change a thing!!! The staff were professional and very attentive and the food was out of this world. I highly recommend it!!!
I am just about to post some photos of the meal (non-professional, as we had said goodbye to Randy by then) in my TR, so you can see them in the next day or so. I have already posted some taken around the GF and just outside Citricos. Feel free to have a peek!! The link is in my signature.
Good luck and please keep us up to date with your plans. Maybe you could start a PJ!!
