I can't believe how close our Wedding is. I was wondering if you girls could help me out again. You have been so helpful so far. I know you usually get your wedding planner a gift. I was wondering what you have or are giving your planner and approx how much should be spent. I don't think I will have room in my luggage to bring anything from here(I am currently in UK) so will probably have to buy something over there or maybe a gift card?? Thanks in advance ladies. 2 weeks tomorrow until we fly!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting this, we had the same question earlier today. DF says a $100 gift card would suffice for our small Escape wedding. Does that seem too little? And a gift card to what? Maybe an American Express or Visa gift card you can use anywhere? :confused3

I'm sending fruit flowers to be delivered the day after the wedding (doing the same for our outside photographers as well)

I purchased our wedding planner a $150 gift certificate for the GF Spa. I put a note about how I hope it would take care of the stress I probably caused with all my emails :)
She seemed pleased (from her emails) and I don't think she had ever been there as a guest. I bought it while we were down there for our wedding and mailed it with a thank you card a few days later.

has anyone gotten a gift for the planner's assistant and the florist as well?

Just my opinion, but a simple thank you note should suffice for the assistant and the florist. They are both being paid by you to do a job and a gift is not necessary or required. If they do a great job...let them know with a hand written note that you mail when you are home from your honeymoon. The payment itself is enough. A gift the day of or after the cermony is not going to get you any better service and is definitely not required or expected.

You could always send them a thank you card after the wedding with a nice note from you and your new hubby! Then if the wedding planner (or other professional) did an outstanding/excellent job in your opinion send them a gift card along with your hand written thank you!

When working weddings as a wedding planner...I LOVE when I get hand written thank you's from my clients and their families...it's means more then you think!!! It's always so wonderful to hear that your bride and groom were please with the service that you provided and thought highly enough of your service to acknowledge you!
