Hi Ladies,

I'm looking for some inspiration for wedding ceremony music. I'd really like to incorporate some Disney Songs, and I am wondering how you ladies who are married, or who are getting married, did it.

Right now I'm using the Wedding march from the Sound of Music for my entrance, and I'm thinking that the Bridesmaids will enter to When You Wish Upon A Star.

Thanks!

Seating Disney love songs

The parent's, reverend, groom, groomsmen and bridesmaids entered to Everything I do, I do it for You from the motion picture sound track Robin Hood: Prince of thieves (I had to provide sheet music)

Flower girl and ring bearer entered to When you Wish Upon a Star

Bride entered to Danielle's Wings from Ever After Soundtrack (CD)

Unity Candle Lighting Promise by Kelley Coffey (CD)

Recessional Disney Medley

Postlude Theme from Romeo and Juliet

We had them play songs from soundtracks (I burned them a CD), some of which were Disney:

Ceremony Opening/Parents of Groom: "Wind & the Lion Main Title" from soundtrack to The Wind & the Lion

Mother of the Bride Tribute (no one walked down the aisle): "I Remember" from soundtrack to The Wind & the Lion

Officiant/Best Man/Man of Honor: "007" from the James Bond movie From Russia With Love

Groom’s Entrance: "Life’s Incredible Again" from the soundtrack to The Incredibles

Bride’s Entrance: "Off to Work" from The Incredibles

Recessional/Petal Toss: "Two Hornpipes (Tortuga)" the bar fight tune from Pirates of the Caribbean II

From what I'm recalling we exited to When you Wish Upon a Star. I know I had the traditional Bridal March song for me walking up. Really though, on the day I didn't hear anything! :)

(have to watch the video again!)

I think I am using the instrumental version of Seasons of Love from the Rent Soundtrack for the wedding party entrance. That's as far as I have gotten. I'm still digging through disney soundtracks for inspiration. Baby Mine from the Disney's Lullaby Album is a good seating intrumental but I'm not sure I'm going to use it. Go to amazon.com. You can listen to previews of music and you can buy tracks for 99 cents.

I asked everyone what they wanted to walk to. I thought it was nice for them to enter to a favourite piece of music.

Prelude:
SpectroMagic
Symphony No. 29 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes – Disney’s Cinderella
Autumn - Vivaldi,
When you Wish Upon a Star – Disney’s Peter Pan

Groom's Parents Entrance: Nocturn #2 in E Flat Major, Op. 9 No. 2 - Chopin
Mother’s Entrance: Ave Maria - Schubert
Groom’s Entrance: Hornpipe from Water Music - Handel
Maid of Honor: Air - Bach
Bride’s Processional: Something - The Beatles
Recessional: CD – I believe in a thing called love – The Darkness

Is it bad that I didn't plan the entrance or exit music and just told the organist to play what he normally plays at weddings? (He's also a friend of the family that we've known for years) And it was all such a blur that I have no idea what he did play! We did work a Disney song into our reception though. I have a Disney CD that has a track of the old Castle show Cinderellabration. In it there is a 2 minute medley of Disney loves songs. We had out DJ play just that part for our first dance. It was totally us!

Carrie, did you have them time this perfectly for you? Or did you have to time it perfectly for the CD?

should I make two CDs one for the wedding ceramony and one for the reception

If you're having them play specific songs at the ceremony, they ask you to put them on the CD in the order you want them played. Same thing if you're making a CD of first-dance songs for the DJ to play at the reception.

Carrie, did you have them time this perfectly for you? Or did you have to time it perfectly for the CD?

Because I wanted the entire song played for each of us, we had to do the timing ourselves as we walked up the aisle. :cutie: For example, my dad and I had to wait about 60 seconds before we started from a pre-determined spot in order to arrive at the altar at the exact end of our song.

However, normally the sound tech just fades the song for you when you get up there and skips to the next song for the next person. This is the easy way! :lmao:

I'm having lots of music from 'Enchanted'.
As it has such a beautiful soundtrack and Jack and I both love it.

I also have to have 'when you wish upon a star' in there somewhere!! And Jack's favourite Disney songs are 'you'll be in my heart' from Tarzan and 'kiss the girl' from the little mermaid so they will be in there too I'm sure!!

Did you have mics hooked up to the sound tech and speakers? Or were the mics just for your videographer?

Both. Disney wouldn't let our videographer capture sound from Disney's audio board, so the groom and officiant wore two mikes each  One went into Disney's board for the live audio and one went into the videographer's equipment.

Hi all, I think this is my...ummm....second post on these forums.

I'm littleangie's DF and we're both VERY excited about our home wedding with a disney theme.

Currently our music looks to be like this:

Processional (wedding party entrance) - SpectroMagic
Bridal Entrance - an as-of-yet undetermined piece by the one in charge
Recessional - Finale from Fantasmic!

That's all I have going right now, but thankfully I've been put in charge of most of the music. :) Any suggestions would be helpful. Or, if any of these work for you, then feel free to take my ideas or PM me and we'll talk shop. ;)

My DD is walking down the aisle to "Flying" from the non-Disney "Peter Pan". It's also the theme music to Disney's "A Year of a Million Dreams." :)

To save money I am making a CD for the reception of my DF and my favorit songs and we are just going to play it on a CD player and we are going to hand out a copy of the CD to eatch family for a parrty favor

For those of you who had a CD play during the wedding and at your reception how does this work?

Did it work out well?

Who changed songs during the wedding?

Did disney charge extra for this?

Thank you

I hope it's okay to post, as I won't be having my wedding at Disney.

We'll only have three separate songs for the ceremony. The wedding party will walk down to a flute and harp version of 'Tale as Old as Time' from Beauty and the Beast. My dad and I will walk down to a beautiful piece called 'A Historic Love' composed by Trevor Morris.

We'll be exiting to 'When You Wish Upon A Star'.

I don't know if this has been mentioned..i lightly scanned the other responses..but, there is a CD called Disney Weddings and it has the instrumental music from some popular disney movies..it really sounds lovely and I'm def. looking into it for some of my Wedding music. I haven't found it in the stores yet but you can buy it online, or on ebay..and if you have itunes search Disney Wedding and the cd should come up and you can preview some of the selections :) Good Luck!
