Wedding music...so many choices...arrrghh!

DF and I have been going back and forth over wedding music for the past week and half. We didn't have any trouble selecting music but we just can't seem to narrow it down. I'd like to have it like this

song 1 - guest seating
song 2 - processional (DF's parents, my aunts)
song 3 - officiant, best man, groom
song 4 - bridal party
song 5 - bride
song 6 - unity candle
song 7 - recessional

We are having a small wedding and each song might not be played very long. DF thinks we should combine the 2 and 3 into just 1 song. I just don't think I could narrow it down...I'm not even sure I can pick out just those 7 songs...hahaha! How many songs did you play? Oh...and what do you think about having a memorial song and lighting candles for those who have left us? Man...am I going overboard or what??? LOL!

song 2 - processional (Grand parents and parents) - A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
song 3 - officiant, groom, groomsmen - Vivaldi Autumn
song 4 - bridal party - Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
song 5 - bride - Canon in D
song 6 - unity candle - The Wedding Song, Where There is Love
song 7 - recessional - Disney Medley (Electric Light Parade, Mickey Mouse March, Zippidee Do Dah)

The organist plays shorter versions and it all worked out well. I had 4 GM's, 4 BM's, 2 RB's and 2 FG's. SO you can have all 7

We have 1 maid of honor, 1 best man, no ring bearer (per se...but my two sons will have a part in the wedding), and 1 flower girl. I'm so afraid that the organist will play each song for about 2 seconds!

We have the same as you Diane lol. I said the same to DF yesterday, we will get a couple of notes per song and then the next one will be on

What a fantastic idea lol, then it will look like we have some friends lol. Besides thats all in our wedding party, we only have an extra 2 guests

I did have the same fear, but you EM will listen for the end of the song. I was also going to combine 2 and 3...but I decided to let the songs play and build the suspense. I even had the chiming of the hour and included the westminster bells...talk about overboard

If you want seven songs ask your EM...he/she will tell you if it will work or not....GL
