Wedding dress storage?

Can anyone tell me the best way to store a wedding dress? I know they used to say have it super-sealed or whatever and then to NEVER open the box. Now I think you are supposed to let it out to breathe. Mine's been in a box for too long...how should I now store it?

As mine is currently still in its bag …I can say I’m no expert (just haven’t sent it out yet to be preserved wedding was in May) but from what these preservation places are telling me it all depends on how it was packaged...Some preservation places store it in airtight do not open bags/boxes...while others are just wrapped in non acidic paper....
the ones in the paper need to be aired while the others shouldn’t be kept closed

I hope this helps. Mine is in a box it was sealed but I opened it and let my dress out once a year.
