wedding dress shopping in orlando......advice please

Hi there!

I am from England and have this crazy idea that by purchasing my wedding dress in Florida when I go on holiday in december this year, that I can save my self lots of money...what with exchange rate at the moment.

Now, to do this I am going to need some serious advice from locals as I have no idea where to start!!!!

I am going to Florida for 10 days so could dedicate 2-3 days to wedding dress shopping with my mum......so firstly is this a good or bad idea? should I dedicate more or less time? I don't want to miss out on my disney parks!

Which shops would be best to visit? can you recommend any?
can you point me in the right direction to arrange trying on sessions at these shops?

Any help or advice would be hugely appreciated...obviously a very exciting time for me!!!!!

It may seem odd that a guy is answering this. But my wife bought her dress from this place, and we know the owners personally. Its called "Solutions." It is a great shop right on Park Ave. in Winter Park (Orlando). Hope this helps!

I am thinking it would be wise to have some dresses picked out before you arrive and to contact the salon so it is at the shop when you get there.

I am not from Orlando, so I am not sure what dress shops are there. I know locals will be on this thread to help you out.

David's Bridal is where I got my dress and its super popular for great quality and cheap prices. They run $99 sales all the time. They have a website. I would suggest looking into them. Just search David's Bridal Florida.
