Hi I havent been on in a long time

But i recently started getting into the boards again.
My Df and I are deciding on a disney Wedding

I have been on the site and looked at the menus
But i have heards you can request your own menu

Can anybody give me a list of their menu for a sit down dinner and buffet?

Im a little confused about that.

Well personally we started knowing we wanted a sit down dinner. So we looked at the sample menus to see which one sounded the best to us. The one we liked most was Cinderella's plated dinner, but we wanted to make a few changes. One thing that helped is looking at the menus for other disney restaurants for different ideas. The chefs will try to prepare anything you ask for.

We switched up the cocktail hour completely to other items listed in the cocktail hour section.

For an appetizer I don't like shrimp cocktail so we asked what some other seafood options could be. At out tasting session we requested for the cooks to try to make crab dip. So they made a custom appetizer that was somewhere between a crab cake and crab dip.

We thought ceasar salad was too boring so we are switching in an awesome Pear and Endive Salad that we saw on the menu at Narcosees (sp?)

Dinner was perfect already being chicken paired with filet and blackberry demi, yukon gold mash, and green beans.

Then dessert was the glass slipper which I love!

So as you can see we stuck fairly close to the sample menu but it is just a starting off point. And if there are any specific questions about the menu jsut ask your planner and they will find out the answer.

I have some sample menus with the latest pricing. There are some a la carte menus, and some set menus called Fairy Godmother's event, Cinderella event, and The Castle event.

I do not have any of the buffet menus though. If you are interested, send me your email address and I will forward the other menus to you.

Ok gret how do i message you?

Hi,

You can post your email address on here or if you prefer you can send me a private message by clicking on my user name.

mine is somewhere in my pj, i'm traveling and the comp i'm on isn't so hot, so i cannot effectively cut and paste. when i had my phone planning session thsi morning, i cut out the cocktail hour and just changed it to antipasta trays...it was half the price and i thought that the menu i had chosen was just too much food...

If you decide to have your reception at the California Grill, you can not alter those menus...(my DD was originally going to have her reception there)....but if you don't mind and can spend $100.00 pp , you can have a small space with a great view of the castle!

She wound up using the Whitehall Room and Patio at the GF and did a custom menu made up from she and her DF favorites off the menus that the ladies listed above (Like Cinderella's plated dinner).... however, they did mix and match some selections - so they wound up with 4 choices for cocktail hour and plated dinner that consists of a chicken entree and also a beef (filte mignon) entree....

This did cost more but gave them the flexiblity to come up with what they wanted everyone to have.:yay:
