You use your fingers and not your hand. That honking cake is, likely, supported by the guys fingertips. It give you a more flexible hand. Easier to save the cake, or the tray that way.

I would not have been carrying it at all! Don't they have carts and stuff?! What if someone bopped into him?! OMG, please tell me no one bopped into him and knocked the cake over?!

I would actually venture to say that it is better. I have realized that I am not a huge fan of the mousse that Disney uses in the wedding cakes - it's not flavorful enough for me. This had peanut butter frosting that was thick and rich like, oh... like the peanut butter frosting on that Peanut Butter Cookie Dough "cheesecake" they sell at the Cheesecake Factory.

I honestly can't believe you just posted this. I'm not exaggerating, I'm not making it up...I had to do a double take when I read that comment.

1. Chocolate and peanut butter is my all-time favorite flavor combination; 2. I am staying at BWV in December---waaaay too close to the Bakery; 3. I'm on a diet (which I will be off of for WDW); 4. CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE DOUGH CHEESECAKE FROM CHEESECAKE FACTORY is like my all time favorite dessert at a restaurant and I don't even like cheesecake!!

I was hoping to make one special trip down to the Boardwalk Bakery for the cake. Now, I fear that because of knowing that the cake at BWV is similar tasting and has that rich peanut butter icing like the blob on top of the cheesecake at CCF...I will be eating peanut butter chocolate cake every morning for breakfast. That's soooooo not in the budget (monetarily or calorically).

Great update Carrie, fantastic pictures! It's awesome that Lori will now have all these extra pics from an outside perspective. Can I ask what the inaccuracies were that the boat driver spouted? Like how outrageous? "Minnie and Mickey are included in all wedding packages" inaccurate?

I have to agree with you about the chocolate peanut butter wedding cakes. I was not impressed. I thought it was gross actually. That was what our layer was. For our anniversary cake I am going to get our other layer which was the almond cake with beverian (sp?) cream.

Great update! My brother and I also used to pretend we were spokesmodels. For cereal. Ahh, the no-weekday-cartoons, limited-TV-programs, no-computers, no-video-game childhood.

I have a feeling Jensey will be "busy" from now on when you visit WDW. "Carrie's coming to town AGAIN?! Ugh! My fingers STILL hurt from the 5,392,310 pictures she had me take. Maybe I should move..."

Great update! I can only imagine what the wedding guests thought about having their photos taken by random people on the Boardwalk! I was seriously laughing out loud reading this one

Oh, let's see - I think he said that they were part of the package and came with every wedding, but then said he'd never seen them before, or something. I think he must've been trying to impress some girl on the boat - he was totally talking outta his patootie...

I did think the chocolate peanut butter cup was better than the straight up peanut butter, but yeah, neither is anything to write home about. At the end of the day, I'm a frosting girl!

Loving the TR! The hat looks fabulous on you - I love the idea of a pretty hat, but I always look ridiculous in one! I was imagining that Disney secruity was going to "catch" you sneaking though the trail taking pics of the wedding and this trip report was going to go another way! Glad you made it out safely - too funny that you showed up in Lori's video!!

Jensey has amazing talent! After looking through her and her DH's blog, I want to renew my vows so I can have such amazing pics!!! But after 16 years (anniversary is today!!!) , I am not sure how many close ups we would want!! Is Jensey an ace at photoshop, too??

You know, they travel! Wherever you and FG (Future Groom) decide to take the plunge, they can be there. Now all you need to do is make a wish on a nickel at Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain.

Right on! I love hearing about other pale people. I was always so self conscious in school (during the St. Tropez Decade, i.e., the '80s) but my mother would tell me "Don't worry - when those tanned girls are 50 they're going to look like leather handbags!"
