Wedding Crasher: Lurkyloo’s 4 Parties in 3 Nights with 2 Cameras and 1 Fabulous Hat

I also found a very cool Souvenir of the Day for DH (I forgot to mention that – I was assuaging my guilt over leaving him at home by buying him a souvenir for each day that I was gone. Friday’s was a pair of Vinylmation pins).

It says “It’s easy being green”
photo-25.jpg

How cool is that that you can plant the tag-thingy (I have no idea what to call the thing the pin is attached to :) )?!

Great update!! :thumbsup2 I can't imagine how busy you must always be between trip reports, passporter, your job, and spending time with your DH! :faint:

oh I'm so dreaming about the plaza.

I miss my chicken and ham sandwich. Oh and the fries!!!!

Next, I was proud to introduce Jensey and Amelia to my patented order for a foolproof chocolate milkshake—you have to ask them to make it with chocolate ice cream and chocolate syrup. None of this pussyfooting around with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup, or straight chocolate ice cream...

SOOOO excited to learn this trick! Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

We ladies unloaded the icky cherries from our shakes on Nathan.

Wow, and here I thought I was the only one who didn't like cherries!!

Thanks for many pages of yummalicious pictures, yummalicious food, spectacular brides and hilarious commentary!

I also must thank you for the tip about the BB&B travel sized container kit from your most recent PTR. I am making an ultra fast trip for the D23 opening night showing of "Up" and for only the second or third time in my whole life I won't be checking any bags. It is very comforting to know I can have all my lotions and potions with me!

Another great update with more great Root photography!!! Love the earrings! And do I have to search the whole Cake thread to find out where I can purchase a whole cake? :rotfl: We will be there for dd's 8th birhtday. Eating at CRT - so I am considering the chocolate slipper - but you can't put a candle in it!! Or should I just go with the birthday cupcake? I loved the Mad Hatter cake that was posted on this thread!!!

Jumping in to say...I think this is the BEST TR EV-VER!!!!!!

Thanks for making my day!

:lmao: at the buying a cake for teething!! I love those shots of the castle in black and white!

Me too! You know it's only a $22 minimum per person to have a DP at Epcot - maybe we can all go in together on the site fee and host our own!

Now, this is an idea I like!!!

Right now these are the only pics I have of the room until we get the pics from our wedding photographer. And I haven't even started my own TR yet, so I thought I'd post them here since Lurkyloo is so much more on the ball than I am!

Can't wait till you start your TR Lori!!

Yay! I am all caught up! Now I'll go join the bandwagon of those clamouring for the next update!:rotfl:

Looks like we posted simultaneously - how was that for instant gratification? :rotfl:

I'll join the chorus of shocked women bowing down to someone who packs a negligee on a solo WDW trip!!!:worship: So funny - unlike LurkyLoo I would be decked out in my most chic outfit to travel on the red eye from LAX to MCO (or anywhere for that matter!), but once locked in the privacy of my hotel room the comfy sweats would be out in full force!

Yeah, I guess I was overdressed pretty much 24/7 on this trip! :lmao:

Love the earrings, tasteful, and I completely hear you about not wearing anything with characters in the real world....although I broke down myself and got a great very tasteful watch my last trip.....it's my fav souvie!!

I can dig that - I have a Disney watch too! I only wear it at the parks though... haven't gathered the courage to try it in the real world.

Great update!! :thumbsup2 I can't imagine how busy you must always be between trip reports, passporter, your job, and spending time with your DH!

Who is this "DH" you speak of...? :rotfl2: Only kidding, DH!!!

oh I'm so dreaming about the plaza.

I miss my chicken and ham sandwich. Oh and the fries!!!!

Hmmm... chicken and ham? :scratchin... Yes, that does sound good!

SOOOO excited to learn this trick! Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

Wow, and here I thought I was the only one who didn't like cherries!!

Whohoo! High-five! It is very useful to have a DH who will eat them for you. Jensey has one, I have one - here's hoping you (will in July) have one! :goodvibes

Oh good - I'm glad it helped! I was so excited to find such a thing right at BB&B, since the only others I'd seen were all on obscure travel websites that charge and arm and a leg for shipping.

No worries - here's a link to my post about places at WDW to pick up a cake.

If you want one delivered to a restaurant, call the Cake Hotline. If you want one delivered to your hotel room (and you're at a resort that has Private Dining/room service) call room service at your resort. :thumbsup2

Jumping in to say...I think this is the BEST TR EV-VER!!!!!!

Thanks for making my day!

No, thank YOU for making my day! :cutie:

:lmao: at the buying a cake for teething!! I love those shots of the castle in black and white!

Aren't they :cloud9:? Also, are you saying you didn't make Jack a cake to celebrate teething? :lmao:

Does anyone else see the Mickey Profile in the clouds in this pic? My husband glanced over at the laptop and saw it right away.

OMG - I see it! I see it! :hyper:

Sweet! I'm sorta in time for the update!

Carrie, you look amazing. I adore everything you wear. I only wish I could wear such swanky clothes. Me? I keep a secret stash of Disney clothing and accessories that ONLY get worn at the parks. I LOVE packing for a Disney trip! Lots of fun shirts and hats, pins and purses. All that stuff. I FINALLY get to wear them! They just sit in my drawers, collecting dust and taking up space the rest of the time.

Thank goodness I ate some dessert before reading your TR update. I think that's going to be SOP: eat something really packed with sugar before cracking open the Dis website! (Else I find myself chewing on the keyboard!).

OT but, is anyone else going to the D23 "Up" screening? I may go as well and thought it might be fun to meet...er...up? (wow. LAME! I can do better, I SWEAR!).

Holy cow! I TOTALLY saw Mickey's profile in that picture - only when it was mentioned. I should have spotted that! It was so out there "ka-pow"! Well done Roots, well done.

Great update, as usual. And...YAY, me! I didn't miss all the fun and come back after 5 pages of awesome comments. Woo-hoo!

This picture is hilarious and perfectly demonstrates why I love Disney so much---where else could you find such characters?? :goodvibes

Looooooooooooooove :lovestruc this photo. The Roots do a really great job, I'm going to have to take notes for our trip in December.

Carrie- I need to know what camera you have... Your pics are so vibrant!!!!!!!!!!!

Loving all of the pictures! So glad to find others who do not like those disgusting cherries! And I LOVE your hat with all of your outfits!

DH and I ate at Shula's on our HM and really liked it, except for the iced tea. They brought it out in bottles like you would but from the gas station and left it with some glasses filled with ice. It was a very odd presentation and incongrous with the rest of the experience!

Can't wait to read about your Blue Zoo dinner!

Carrie- I need to know what camera you have... Your pics are so vibrant!!!!!!!!!!!

She has Jensey's camera - along with Jensey! :rotfl: A wonderful, professional photographer. (no offense to your camera or photography skills, Carrie!!)

Ok, back from vacation for several days now & I am finally caught up with the best trippie eva!!!!!
I feel you about the documenting thing Carrie--doing my live blog gave me a new respect for how living your life & trying to blog about it at the same time gets complicated........especially since Eric is not as good as Patrick & never takes pics unless I thrust the camera at him & say "take my picture."
Great updates........loving your outfits & the HAT......how do you always look so stylish. I always look tourist frumpy because I want to be comfortable.
Loved the wedding stalking & dessert party!!!!!!!!! I looked all around for weddings but didn't see any :sad2: on our one measly day at EPCOT.

popcorn:: subbing in, you really do write the best trip reports, they are very entertaining!! I love the Roots pictures, they are just beautiful! popcorn::

Hooray! Glad you made it to the party! :rotfl: We're not going to the Up screening cuz Patrick doesn't like to see late shows. I'm hoping all the other D23 events this summer will be as easy to get into as that one, though.

I'm also glad you figured out the trick for reading the trippie is to eat something sweet before you start. Actually, I suppose, ideally, it's to eat something sweet while you read... but then I'll throw in some grody pic of raw meat and ruin it all...

This picture is hilarious and perfectly demonstrates why I love Disney so much---where else could you find such characters?? :goodvibes

Totally! And they're so good at hamming it up, even if all the tourists are just staring at them blankly.

Carrie- I need to know what camera you have... Your pics are so vibrant!!!!!!!!!!!

She has Jensey's camera - along with Jensey! :rotfl: A wonderful, professional photographer. (no offense to your camera or photography skills, Carrie!!)

Yes, Christina. I'm afraid it's true - those vibrant pics are all due to the awesomeness of Nathan & Jensey's talent, plus some professional equipment and editing software. I am a very lucky lady to have them documenting my trip! :cloud9:

They brought it out in bottles like you would but from the gas station

:rotfl2: I love it! That is really odd, since they try so dang hard to be classy in every other respect. Maybe they're bragging that they serve name-brand (and gas station-brand!) tea?

Great updates........loving your outfits & the HAT......how do you always look so stylish. I always look tourist frumpy because I want to be comfortable.

I am so happy to have fooled you into thinking I am always stylish on my WDW trips. :lmao: Let us not recall the fashion disasters of the "2 Haunted Mansions, 1 Day" trip or most of my honeymoon and anniversary trips! :rolleyes1

So are you gonna do a trippie for your one measly day at Epcot? Be like me and stretch it out into 6 parts! :hyper:

popcorn:: subbing in, you really do write the best trip reports, they are very entertaining!! I love the Roots pictures, they are just beautiful! popcorn::

Hey, thanks! I'm glad to hear you're entertained. :goodvibes

OK, I just got a big project to do at Real Work, so I may not get to an update today. :sad1:

However, in the meantime, please join me in :banana::banana: over the fact that we won Best Wedding Video in The Knot Magazine's 2nd Annual Real Wedding Awards!

http://weddings.theknot.com/myrealwedding/rwa_winners.html

This is a big deal for me b/c the posters on the Knot's national message boards are notoriously vicious about Disney weddings, so I feel as though I have achieved a victory for Disney brides everywhere. :rotfl:

Down with the evil Knotties!! Way to show 'em! :thumbsup2

:rolleyes1 I mean, WOO HOO Congrats Carrie and Patrick!!
