Wedding Cancelled

Hello All -

Due to some circumstances my wedding has been cancelled - I created a new user name. I have my season passes that I have yet to use and was wondering if someone could give me some advice. If I was to use the vouchers since I paid the deposit are they under our names or could I use the other pass lets say and give it to my sister.

Do the passes have your name on them? I would think you could keep the passes since you paid the deposit, and do whatever you want with them.

It does not have our names on them the back say wedding annual pk hooper exchange - I haven't been on for a while so that is why I changed my user name.

I'm sorry to hear about the wedding. I am assuming the passes will still work because you paid your deposit. I'm not sure if you can give them to someone else.

I was told they could not be transferred they were only for the bride and groom. Maybe if you call and ask they could give you more advise. Sorry to hear about your wedding being cancelled

Sorry to hear about your cancelled wedding But there was someone with a very similar screen name asking this same question about a week ago, maybe someone can post the link to that thread for you. Or I may have it, I can bump it up if you need me to.

You may want to PM ErinLovesMelvin. I know she was in a similar situation but she's planning another wedding now. I haven't seen her on lately though.

Since you have not redeemed them yet they can be given to anyone you like. Those green exchange vouchers are basically like gift cards for APs

I used to redeem them all the time when I worked Guest Relations.
I have friends who had a DFTW and work for Disney, thus did not need APs and they gave their vouchers away.

Sorry you had to cancel the wedding! But unless you had everything refunded and the vouchers canceled you can give them to whomever you like

This is what I was told by disney the vouchers/passes are encoded with your names on them and are non-transferable.

Maybe those that have already been married can give me some advice when you redeemed your tickets how did it work - did they have your name already or did they ask you for you name anything would be very helpful

We redeemed ours not too long ago... They did ask for our drivers licenses but that was it. I dont think they already had our names, but i'm not sure... I think someone (it might have been Jonette, I'm not sure) posted that since she went to Disney more than her DH she bought him a week long pass for the wedding and she used both vouchers. (She used the first one the year of the wedding and when it was time to renew she used the second one)

Maybe DFTW encodes them with your name (or tells you that) to prevent you from planning several weddings and cancelling them. Why don't you call your planner or email her?

I did and that is what they told me

Well if you have your answer from dftw I wouldn't advise trying to pass those vouchers off to your sister or her boyfriend. If you ever want to have another dftw it may come back to haunt you.
