Wedding Brunch?

Has anyone had a brunch after a 10am ceremony? My mother is concerned (don't get me started) that people will stand around for a while at an omelet station, etc. and that people won't like having to eat bacon all dressed up. Can someone please explain that Disney does it right? Thanks!

A lot of brides on here have had brunch, you can find them by looking through TR's and PJ's.

For me, brunch is my FAVOURITE meal, and if it is my wedding, I really don't care what other people think. A bet a lot of guests find it unique, and I would think a lot may appreciate bacon, eggs, waffles, etc that early rather than chicken or steak.

PS. Bacon is my biggest weakeners ever, and I think it deserves people in fancy clothes eating it

We are having a brunch and the menu is awesome...it is the tinkerbell brunch and has: yogurt martini parfaits, made to order eggs and omelets, made to order crepes with wildberry cream filling and vanilla bean and mandarin orange sauce, sausage, bacon, linguine with roasted vegetables in an artichoke cream sauce, roasted chicken with a fennel fig and apple sauce served with roasted potatoes and green beans, smoked salmon with bagel crisps and cream cheese, and it includes assorted pastries, but we subbed mickey waffles. Hope knowing the menu helps, I think a brunch gives everyone plenty to choose from for less money than the lunches.

We chose the brunch too! After i received a packet with all the food and menu options I showed them to my family, my fiancé's family, and a few friends.... every single one of them chose the Tinkerbell Brunch Buffet! That can't be just a coincidence... people love that kind of food! It's also the cheapest option!!

I agree! I think it's a great brunch menu - we love brunch! I love the idea of swapping for Mickey's waffles )

I think that the Tinkerbell looks fantastic! I am hoping I am allowed to use it for a noon ceremony!

Here's another vote for the Tinkerbell brunch! We're planning to have this--bacon, Mickey waffles, and all! Yummy! We talk about it all the time

I haven't heard back from my planner yet, but we've been wondering about where to eat afterwards. Are you all having a Wishes wedding? I'm a 10am Escape bride too, but I would LOVE the Tinkerbell Brunch. Where do you have it?

i am interested in this also. i would want my ceremony at SBP so wouldn't want to go from open and 'airyness' to being in a totally enclosed conference room.

I am correct in thinking that you can have a brunch after a 12.00 ceremony, aren't I?
Is anybody planning to serve mimosas (we call it Bucks Fizz in UK ). I know I read somewhere on these boards about the price but can't find it now!! Anybody know?

I'm pretty sure you can do a brunch for a noon ceremony, but I am not 100% sure. I remember seeing somewhere that mimosas are $7.50 each!!! I couldn't beleive it. But if you look in their wine list, it is because the sparkling wine they use is so expensive!

Hmmm... I sure you could. They just might charge you the "lunch" price.

Your Escape Wedding Planner can tell you what your options are for having a private event catered by Disney. There are more and more options these days, and not all of them are in convention center ballrooms. (And the St. James ballroom and Whitehall room have patios, so you could eat outside if you wanted).

Alternatively, you can book your own private or nonprivate meal at a restaurant - the trouble is, not many are open for brunch or even lunch. Downtown Disney has the most choices, but there's also FRESH at the Swan & Dolphin. Kouzzina (formerly known as Spoodles ) does breakfast, but I believe the last seating is at 11:10am or 11:30am or thereabouts.

If you have a private event, you can serve whatever you want.
