Okay, I need to get this out of my system so I can get back to work!!! :surfweb:

The cast

Me - 32 year old web developer and artist. Disney lover, lover of all things nerdy, big wussy.

Favorite Disney Character: Minnie
Favorite Pixar Character: Sulley

DH - 36 year old Founder and Lead Technologist of Web company. Crowd and heat hater, adventure lover, loves me enough to go to WDW!

Favorite Disney Character: ???
Favorite Pixar Character: ???

We have been together for almost 8 years and married for almost 3. We will be celebrating our 8th/3rd anniversary while at WDW!!! We were married on the anniversary of the day we met, its just easier to remember that way:hug:

Our family

Who will not be going with us on this adventure. But there's always next time right? ......right?

DSD - 14 lives with us full time now that she has hit the full-on teenager phase. lol :rotfl:

DSD (x 2) - 9 year old twins, still part time but I give it a year or two until they choose our home  for good.

Pets (Furry Children)

Jazmine - She's the one the left, sadly my other two chihuahua's passed away this past year.

When? Where?

September 11th - 16th at Boardwalk Villas in 1 bedroom suite, standard view.
September 16th - 18th at AKL Jambo in 1 bedroom suite, value... view unknown?

This is my first trip to WDW!!! My husband went once with DSD 14 when she was very little but they only spent 1 day there. :confused3

I originally wanted to book at the Contemporary hotel, but by the time I booked there were no more 1 bedrooms left with the promotion I was using. But I think this will work out to be just as awesome if not better! I ended up booking a split stay just in case I can never get my husband to come back, i really want to experience as much as possible on this trip.

More soon...

I ordered my customized maps yesterday! I tried to exclude the rides I'm sure my DH can't ride. He broke his back last year and he will not be able to ride any roller coasters with any serious g-force, basically anything that goes upside-down. So at WDW I think the only one in that category is rockin roller coaster, but I really don't know for sure.

He also gets motion sick and has sworn off rides like Star Tours  So I think that rules out Mission Space as well. But again, since I've never been I'm not really sure what others to avoid. :confused3

I have also made our ADR's! It was a little difficult to decide as I am a vegetarian and my DH is a serious carnivore. I may tweak them a bit as we get closer (166 days out now) but I'm pretty happy with what I have so far:

Monday

Dinner - Le Cellier Steakhouse, Epcot (This is our anniversary dinner)

Tuesday

Lunch - The Plaza Restaurant, Magic Kingdom

Wednesday

Dinner - Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano, Disney's Hollywood Studios

Thursday

Dinner - Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room, Epcot

Friday

Dinner - Jiko – The Cooking Place, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

Saturday

Breakfast - Boma–Flavors of Africa, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

I plan on getting park hoppers but I think my ADR's have given me a basic Park/Day strategy which looks something like this:

Sunday - Arrive late, maybe catch EMH at MK
Monday - Epcot
Tuesday- MK
Wednesday - DHS
Thursday - Resort Day / Epcot in evening
Friday - AK
Saturday ?
Sunday - Leave late, unsure what to do with the day.

Looks great and the crowds are not to bad at that time. Still warm as well around upper 80's Don't forget to go to MNSSHP! Brings the kid right out of you!!

Oh that's right, thanks! I haven't been able to find definite dates for MNSSHP but I REALLY want to do this while we are there!

As someone who has motion sickness issues as well I stay away from the following:

In MK - teacups, big thunder mountain (there is only one section that goes in a circle but it seems to go way too long to me!), space mountain (I can't do any rollercoasters really).
In HS - I do most things there except star tours
In Epcot - I have done Soarin' but because I can't watch movies even that simulate motion of an airplane I usually close my eyes - it is visual, not the actual motion of the ride, definitely not mission space.
Animal Kingdom - i don't do Primeval Whirl - too much spinning, I do survive dinosaur just fine - rough but doesn't bother me, don't do Expedition Everest - roller coaster thing!

Hope that helps!

OMG that helps so much, thank you!! :flower3:

Oh no! Expedition Everest is a no go? I was hoping it wouldn't be that intense.

It's a no go for me because of heights - i don't do them either - my daughter who has no such issues (height problems or motion sickness) loves it - if he likes roller coasters he might be fine - there is a single rider line - maybe you try it first since you have a better idea what he can tolerate then make a decision!
