I just drove through Clermont yesterday (via SR 50) taking my old DS to Daytona Beach. Cool!

Clermont is not too far from where my Mom moved -- Mt. Dora. We drive on S.R.50 to get there too.

Do you have any photos of pre-construction or anything like that?

What size house are you building? Is it a house plan you picked out yourself, or one the builder has designed?

Hi! We designed our house, with the help of a home designer, so it's completely custom. Approximately 2100 heated sq. feet, then 2 car garage & covered back porch.
So far the only photos I've put on the blog are those of the site plan - we're still waiting, waiting, not so patiently on the permits before we can begin. I was just amazed at all that we've gone through to get to this point, and my husband said that I should put it in a blog, in case anyone else is interested in the odd things that arise from building a house in Florida.
