Web Check-in

How does web check in work for ATA? Can you still use it if you have to check in bags? And is it necessary to do web check in or do the CSA's move people through the line quickly enough so you do not need to do web check in??

Don't know about ATA but have checked in online at home for Airtran. There was a separate line for online check-in where they tagged your luggage. Very easy and quick. I also got to pick our seats when I checked in online. Also, in MCO for our return trip I used the little "online checkin" they have at the counter and it was just as quick. Hopefully everyone doesn't catch on!
