I am packing for our vacation and just looked at the 10 forecast for san diego and anaheim...it said it would be in the upper 60's...for some reason I was expecting mid-upper 70's and 80's. I am worried that I was only bringing shorts/shirts for everyone. I was planning on packing 1 pair of pants and a sweatshirt per person....my suitcase if filling up and I am worried that my kids (& me) are going to be cold!! Is anyone from this area or are you there now. How is the weather? I live in Missouri and I am just checking the forecast on www.weather.com

I live in N Cal and just looked last night as we are leaving in a few days for our DL trip.
I think I will be packing a little extra due to the weather forcast.

I live an hour east of DLR where it is usually hot this time of year and even we're having cool, cloudy weather. I'm actually loving it because usually our summer starts in April and the hot weather doesn't end until November. Anyway, I go to Orange (which is right next to Anaheim) once a week and it's been cloudy there too. I don't think I would go as far as to say it's cold (just cool) but if I were going to DLR today I would wear jeans, t-shirt and bring a sweatshirt. Now, this crazy weather we're having could change without warning and we could suddenly have a heatwave. You just never know during this time of year. Also, remember that it does tend to be warmer inside the parks than out in the "real world", at least when there is some sun out. Hate to say it but I think you might need to try to pack both shorts and pants to be ready for whatever weather may come. Good luck packing and have a great trip!

We were there last week and the same upper 60's was projected. Yes, it was warmer in the parks than out! But, I felt very comfortable with jeans, a T shirt and then a long sleeved shirt over. I did not need the long sleeved shirt in the afternoon but a sweatshirt was needed in the evening. I just found myself taking my long sleeved shirt on and off throughout the day. But I found it to be perfect! Much better than the strong sun!

It is so odd how it seems the entire state is having the same weather. Up here it has been cool- 70's at the highest, overcast, and windy. (our old fence in the backyard finally fell over. )

I would like to put my order in now for some nice 80's type weather two weeks from now. Nothing super hot, but I do like warm. I wanna wear my shorts!

Whats really funny is that we are also having the same 10 day forcast in Portland!!! We leave on Saturday and was hoping for a little warmer than what it is here so we would have something to brag about!

No, no, no! 80s is too hot! Don't wish for that! I'm enjoying this nice cool weather. Don't make it go away!

Acutally like Brancaneve said, this is perfect DLR weather. It just gets too miserable to walk around in the heat and it zaps the energy out of me.

We were at DL in may for 10 nights and while we were there, we had great weather, in the 80's for the most part....i think we took the good weather home with us...we are in bc, canada and we have been having crazy hot weather here for weeks....way hotter than anaheim has been....

That's funny. You can have the hot weather! Just don't go sending down any Canadian winter weather to us. I like this cooler weather but I don't want it any cooler than it is. I am a california girl after all

Okay--I am throwing some more pants and a few hoodies/sweatshirts in and hoping for the best! I do not want hot weather, but I would like 70's, so I am keeping my fingers crossed!!

I doesn't even feel like summer now. The radio just said chance of showers for us on Friday. I like the 80's- good decade, good temperatures!

We went last year around this time and it was 100 everyday, I would take 60's and 70's over that anytime.

Upper 60's to mid 70's is pretty typical for San Diego. Count on mornings being overcast and cool. A light sweater is all thats needed. Later in the afternoon its usually sunny and upper 60's feels really nice and definatly not cold. The humidity is almost always high. Once the sun goes down its back to a light sweater. Don't worry about taking warm clothes, just something light to cover up in the mornings and evenings.
