This isn't really a planning question....

I'm just interested to know how many people have actually had good weather whenever they have landed at MCO or Sandford ?

Both times we have arrived it has been raining quite heavily and we've always felt a little disappointed.

Then we see the Sea World shop in the Airport and suddenly the disappoinment wears off........!!!!!!

To be fair the first full day both times has been amazing weather, so I shouldn't really complain too much..........!!!

Just interested.

So far we have always had nice weather. Even when we go in December.

Leaving is another question.........

Same here it rained when we arrived last year,as it was our first trip there we thought "OH NO,it will rain for the 2weeks we are here!" lol
But it soon cleared up.

The security guy's joked with us "that we had brought the english weather with us!",it looked like we had! the sky was black, and it was thundering, now we know its "normal" over there and you do have fantastic weather.

It depends when you go realy.

As we normally go in the summer it it is more often than not raining when we arrive at MCo.

This is due to the late afternoon summer T storms that happen somewhere in the area most days.

In fact it is a sort of a tradition for us now  !!!

As is the fact it is always very hot and sunny the following morning. :bounce:

Never had rain on arrival. It's never occurred to me either that it could be pouring when we arrive this year. Thanks for the warning.

The second time we went to WDW there was a huge thunderstorm when we stepped out of MCO. When we arrived at Sanford last year it was raining but it had stopped by the time we reached WDW.

When we arrived at MCO last year it was lovely, by the time we got in our town car it was raining really hard. By the time we got to the Boardwalk it was lovely and sunny again :D

It was pouring when we arrived last August. The rain got into one of our cases through the zip and our clothes were damp.

On the way home we were delayed by a thunder storm and I think our bags were on the tarmac for the duration - once again wet clothes!

Luckily we had learned from our arrival and had wrapped all our vunerable souvenirs in plastic bags.

We have had overcast skies and then almighty downpours for the past 4 - yes 4!!!! years running on arrival at MCO. It's usually around 3.30-4pm so it's the prime time in July for those tropical rain showers.

It's actually fun because we can always tell the Florida newbies. they moan and complain that they just left weather like this back home! But we know that within a couple of days they'll be begging for the rain to cool everything (and everyone) down.

oh and one year it was raining so hard they closed MCO and after circling Orlando for 20 minutes waiting for it to clear we had to eventually divert to Miami to refuel..not returning until a couple of hours later (when it was sunny).

:smooth:
