Trying to plan our 1 day on May 19th and, since we've only got a day and it's a rainy month, I want to plan for possible bad weather. I've been to WDW many times, but never to DLRP. It seems like more rides are covered, but I'm wondering which rides close in the rain? Does it matter if it's light rain or heavy rain? What if there's lightning? Thanks so much!

No rides close in rain, light or heavy.

Severe gales may close some rides, and possibly an extended thunder and lightning storm might too.

Lets all hope that kind of weather stays away from DLRP for you all!

I thought the storybook boat ride and the Mesa Riverboats closed in the rain? Might have just been my imagination though!

When we had our really wet day last week those two rides were indeed closed. There are so many great shows and attractions to do it won't spoil your fun- and the majority of them are covered or indoors .Our favourite for the rain was the warm and exciting POC!). Just take a raincoat with you and water resistant shoes-I was so pleased I'd packed my son's wellington boots!

What's a "Wellington Boot"? What footwear do you use for adult sizes in the rain that's easy to pack on a plane (6 people)? I'm a little worried about the possible rain in May, and we'll be staying in Paris for 9 nights with lots of outside touring (good chance we'll get out shoes wet).

Wellington Boots are plastic boots meant to be worn in the rain. They're water resistant and great for splashing in puddles (if you have small kids:rotfl2: )

You can buy adult sizes, not sure about American shoe sizes to be honest. I've lived in London for 9 years and still haven't learnt the adult sizes, I can only do European sizes.

Anyway, last year (since it's very rainy in UK) I ordered a pair of Crocs wellies from USA. Think they're called Crocs - Georgie and they're fab!!! Don't weigh anything, very light and comfortable so maybe have a look for those...

Yep, we have Crocs in every store here, but no way will my DH or son's wear them! Maybe I can get them for DD and I though.
