Hi, this is my first time posting here, newbie. We are going on the 7 night western of Feb 14th, and was just curious about how the weather is?

We did the 7 night eastern last march 22, and it was gorgeous, warm sunny, just perfect.

Lately people are freaking me out, telling me that it may be very cold, and I am just wondering about how many cool clothes to bring.

If anyone has recently sailed, or sailed at that time of year:teeth:
could you please let me know...

Thanks so much, and btw this board is abosultely awesome, so informative, and great advice!!!!!!:bounce:

Thanks in Advance,

Sherrie

well if your in canada and your going on a western cruise it will be in the 80's during the day and high 70's at night. if that cold. i figure its about 40-50 degress warmer in the south then in canada. if 80+ degress weather id cold or freezing then im in trouble. thanks

Check out the following thread for the 2/14 Magic in the Cruise Meets section, our group keeps growing everyday.

This is my first cruise so I can't answer your questions, but many DISers traveling on our cruise are repeat cruisers.

I do know it will be warmer than Montreal, I have family in the area and was in Beloiel about three weeks ago for a funeral.

1 more week!:sunny:

Depomas,

I was just on the 1/24/04 Eastern and it was 77 degrees and sunny w/ 72% humidity everyday but one! And frankly that's exactly how it would be everywhere if I ran the world. ;) I brought a sweater at night due to wind, but that's it. And I live in So. CA so I'm already a little spoiled weather wise. Enjoy!

I was on the 1/24 as well and loved the weather. I'm from NJ, so even the mid-60ish weather when we left/arrived in Port Canaveral was delightful.

I had brought a bunch of long pants and 3/4 sleeve shirts and didn't use any of them (besides at dinner).

Welcome depomas!

You never know about the weather. But it was 83 here in Orlando today, and we're far north of where we are sailing to.

was on 1/10 cruise and on the first day in the 50's and very windy, but after that in the high 70's and 80's

We live in Toronto and will be on the same cruise. Are you bringing children, if so, what are their ages. We are flying into Florida on the 13th and plan to stay in Cocoa Beach and hit the port by 10:30 the next day. Hope you have a wonderful vacation. I hear the weather in Montreal has been terrible, anything is better than snow, snow, ice, ice, and more snow.

I have to agree with you, anything has got to be better than here, and all the snow, ice , and more snow and ice.

I will pack accordingly to the information you all provided, I hope for the best.

We are flying in on Thursday the 12th and staying at the best western until Sat am, and then getting on the boat:yo-yo:

I have a ds-8 and a dd4....

I am so excited, today is wash and pack day...

Good luck everyone, you are all great, and VERY helpful.

Sherrie :)

We just got off the 7 night Western of Jan 31 today. The weather was great. Sunny everyday. Short sleeve weather every day. On Wednesday evening and Thursday it was breezy. I did put on a light sweater when I was on deck on Friday about 2 AM, but overall weather was wonderful. Hopefully it will be even better for you.

Hi, and welcome to the February 14th cruise!

This will be our 5th cruise the same time of the year. We have had nothing but beautiful weather the entire time. Orlando was cool and at times rainy, but we did the Western last year, and it was near hot at times. You should need nothing but a light weight jacket or sweater for evenings up on deck.
