I'm kind of bummed :sad2: .........I checked out the 10 day forecast for Orlando and it has RAIN everyday from Friday, Dec. 22 through Tuesday, Dec. 26th. We get there on Wednesday and are staying until the 27th. I thought that the month of December had very little rain!!!!!

The rain that is in Orlando right now seems fairly sporadic. It doesn't rain for long and most of the time there are just clouds that don't look good. I would think that this will be closer to what the actual weather is. The clouds are helping to keep the temperatures a little lower so it isn't so hot.

I wouldn't place any good $$$ on the accuracy of a 10-day weather forecast.
Keep checking--it'll probably change.
And change again.
And again---
Here's hoping the actual weather you encounter will be excellent!

Okay, I had to look at the weather...Hopefully, it will change!! A 60 percent chance of rain on the 25th and 26th is kinda a bummer...I don't mind the temps though!

We are expecting a wetter than normal winter due to el nino. Since last winter was dry as a bone, we really need the rain. I remember Christmas Day a couple years ago, it rained all day.

okay....
I know Fantasmic! won't go off in rain...
or parades or shows...total bummer :guilty:

What about
Candlelight?

Illuminations Cruises?
Illuminations?

Wishes?

Osborned Lights?

I didn't even think about the fireworks or parades..We were just there in March and we didn't see any fireworks, parades, or shows in front of the castle. Now I'm really starting to get nervous. Even though we will be in the parks 7 days, we are only planning 3 for the MK (1 is at night for the MVMCP only). I know we can park hop - but, with our dinner reservations already scheduled it wouldn't work out to go back to the MK for the late performances.
A little pixie dust could really be useful right about now.....

We were there one summer when it rained and rained ALL day and it was weird for June. We didn't miss anything, but we had to park hop to see things that we wanted.

My only concern is Candlelight because I know we won't get into that without a package. I think I remember reading that people sat in the rain during that. And, it's only at that time of year.

We were there for Christmas 2004 and it was cold and rained on the 24th and rained hard all day on the 25th and 26th. We found other things to do to keep us busy and have fun. We had done the parks before Christmas because of the crowds and so we did other things the week between Christmas and New Years.

Have a great time and enjoy it even if it rains! After all you are at WDW and you are with your family! Here's hoping for a wonderful holiday trip for you!!

That was a really fun day for us seriously....I never laughed so hard and I was SOAKED at one point :sunny:

How much will rain change the crowd level?

If you go to accuweather it does not paint as bad of a forcast.

We were there Dec. 1-5. The prediction was for rain the whole time we were there. Every night, the prediction for the next day had rain in the forecast. It didn't rain on us once. Hopefully, you'll get lucky and the prediction will be wrong as well!

I hope the forecast changes too. :-( We get there late night the 22nd, start touring parks on the 23rd and leave the 27th. I was afraid this was going to happen.

Thanks!!! We are all bringing ponchos, because we figured that if we bring them then there's a GOOD chance it WON't rain !!! ;)

I'm soooooooo excited we're leaving early tommorow morning

Happy Holidays to all !!!!

We were at WDW for Christmas 2002 and 2004.......... and guess what.........we had lots of rain. We are heading to VWL on Thursday, so its should start to rain before the weekend !!!! LOL Rain doesnt stop us......... we just plan accordinly.

In 2004 it rained soo hard for soo long that they cancelled the Christmas day parade........ that was disappointing !!!! But other than that, we just work around the weather !!! pirate:

Just checked Accuweather. They have forecast rain and strong winds between Christmas and New Year. I'm going prepared and hoping it won't be as bad as they say.

I just had a look at this too. Not liking the look of NYE with the strong winds. Mind you the weather we have had in Ireland the past few weeks has been wet and windy and I'm sure it won't be as bad as that.

I just came back from WDW, and our forecast called for rain all the time too... it was perfect though. Just take it a day at a time when you're there, don't torture yourself with the forecast.

The one afternoon we did have a little rain we just put on our ponchos and got on with it.
