Weather next week

I'm tracking the weather for next week and I am getting very worried. There is a 20% chance that a hurricane will develop. I know it's pretty far out but this is my first vacation in 7 years

Less than 40% chance at the moment but that is the risk with planning a trip during hurricane season. If a hurricane is predicted to land in Kissimmee (or your residence) within so many days of your trip, then Disney will refund you whatever you booked through them if you ask them.

Florida will be pretty rainy on and off all THIS upcoming weekend from the wave everyone is talking about. Shouldn't be much more than that.

The wave that just came off Africa is the wave to watch for Florida and East coast. Computer models are showing some kind of "system" over the Bahamas by the Aug 8-10 time frame. That is very close to Florida. Most models "at this time" show it recurving out to sea but a lot can change by then.

FWIW: Mikes Weather page is excellent and I follow him for some information, HOWEVER remember he is a "weather enthusiast" and not a real meteorologist. Trust your local news and NHC when it comes to hurricanes and that's about it.
