Weather in October?

typically the weather south of us is a little warmer-- but you can count on tempertures to still be warm-- not smoldering hot as in August-- but it is not your typical cool Autumn weather during the day--- we have had many Halloweens that we had the air conditioning on ----

We live south of Disney and our favorite month is October - still quite warm but not as humid and the rainy season is over. You might need a sweater at night but that is about it. A great time to see Mickey! Enjoy.:D

Thank you for saying that it is not as humid in October! Humidity is one of my least favorite things about Florida. You can cut it with a knife sometimes. We were there in January last year and I was so surprised to find it humid when we got to the airport. And don't even get me started on what it does to my hair. :scared1:

Greetings,
My wife and I have made the middle of October are time to visit the world. The humidity is not as bad, it is warm enough to swim and wear shorts most days and nights and for the most part there is not much rain. It is a perfect time to go and more people are choosing this as the time to go to WDW. There was a time not too long ago that this was considered Value season but the popularity of this time to visit changed all that. You will enjoy the weather this time of year.

Living in Las Vegas, humidity to me is a "BAD" word for us which is one of the main reasons I love October in WDW. Less bugs too...LOL

We have gone during almost every month of the year for one reason or another just to get some kind of regular schedule going with our vacations years ago and have found the temps are perfect for us during that month and more important... the crowds are just right. You need a little bit of a crowd to make things interesting.. I mean half the fun is watching people in the parks making there way around the place.

We make most of our trips during the last 2 weeks of October, the evenings are very very nice, not to hot and not cool enough cause a chill. Because the humidity is MUCH lower then other times and the weather is great, most people are are not as rude or looking for a problem as I have seen during hotter months and when the crowds are there, at least that's how we see it.

You made a great choice as far as times to go... theres alot going on to enjoy all around.

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

The more I read about October in WDW, the more I get excited about our first family trip - Oct. 15-23 POFQ.
Come on October.........

Me, too! This will be our first Oct trip. We've been in April, May and Dec. So far out of those months, Dec has been our favorite (but a little cold).

It's our favority time to go, too. We've only had two rainy days (brief, hard showers), and one day in the 60's, a couple in the very low 90's, the rest were just perfect. I look at our pictures and am amazed at how many have perfect blue skies.

Also, during October, there is MNSSHP. The park is open until mid-night, and the nights are fantastic--sky filled with stars and warm enough for shorts.

Can't wait.
