Weather in October

What's the weather in Florida on October. Some say it is hurricane season.

Hurricane season is actually June through November, but the heart of it is Aug-Sept-Oct. That said, this is my favorite time of year to cruise. The weather is still plenty warm, but not oppresively so like in the summer, and the days are still long, since DST ends at the end of October. The best part is, the rates are at their lowest during this time of year.

While it is hurricane season, the ships will alter their courses and itineraries to avoid the big storms.

My brother was on a non-dcl cruise that was diverted due to hurricane and ended up in belize and venezuela.

He was none too pleased with the stops, but you go in the fall and you takes your chances.

Be adventurous, and go with the flow, I say.
