Hi, We will be in WDW Nov. 14th thru the 24th, I have never been to WDW at that time of year and I was wondering will we need jackets at night? Also what about shorts and capris? We will have children with us and I am really not sure about the need for jackets. I don't want anyone to be chilly though. I would sure appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks

I went last November during thanksgiving and it was definitely chilly at night. None of us had jackets so we had to buy some and they were expensive. Shorts and capris were fine during the day but once the sun went down I wanted pants.

As the PP said, mornings and nights are chilly but days usually warm up nicely. That said, layers also work - bring a sweatshirt or sweater!

I live here and can tell you that the later part of Nov can be cold. 2009 Thanksgiving weekend was actually coat weather not jacket weather.

November is hard to predict. I liken it to a late spring up north. Some days can be really warm with cool nights and then, it can be right cold.

Plan to bring light jackets or sweat shirts and check the weather the week before you leave for last minute packing updates.

As the PP said. November can be hard to predict. You should be ok with shorts or capri pants during the day. I would pack some long sleeve t shirts and a hoodie, layers will be your best bet at that time of year. This way as the day goes on you can take the hoodie or sweat shirt off and when evening come around you can put them back on if needed. You can check weater.com and see if you can find the average temperature for that time. That should give you an idea of what to typically expect.

Our last trip was the first week+ of November. I needed a sweatshirt at night (and we're from Boston, so we're used to the cold) During the day, my husband and daughter were fine swimming, although I could only take it on one of the two days we did. Too cold (for me) the other day.

I would say pack for both warm and cool, wear a T or tank and bring a sweatshirt or sweater.
