Weather in January?

We will be in WDW the first week of January and we LOVE typhoon lagoon. Is it typically too cool to really enjoy a water park...getting in and out of the water all day? Is any of it heated in the Winter? Thanks Marilyn

You really never know about January until later. If it's a mild winter, you can go to water parks; we have a few times. However, some winters, it never gets out of the 60's during the day, so in my book, that's too cold. I wouldn't write it off until you watch the trends in December.

We were there the 1st week of January this year and will be again this coming January. New Years day was about 80 & humid the rest of the week was in the low to mid 70's. It was really warm in the sun and cool in the shade.

We went to blizzard beach this past January during the first week of the month, everything is heated, so the only thing stopping you is the weather. We will also be in WDW the first week of Jan next year, and we also plan to go to TL, just remember it closes for refurb on the 7th.

It really is a toss up. Sometimes the weather can be hot and beautiful other days it is down right cold. Most likely the days will be pretty warm. However, the nights are very cool especially if there is a wind, so I would bring like jackets and long pants.
