Weather in February?

Help! We are going to WDW the second week in Feb. I have been looking over the weather averages and every site seem different, from 40-70. I have no idea what to plan on packing! We will be coming from Michigan, so I am sure anything will seem warmer for us, but should I plan on long sleeves and sweatshirts? Do you think we will need any shorts at all? I wanted to get some matching shirts so we can keep track of the kids, but don't have any idea what to get! I am going to be one of those people going over the weight limits at the airport because I pack too much!

We went the first week of Feb this year our first day there it was close to 80 then the rest of the trip it was 70. We wore long sleeve shirts and capri pants during the day and if we stayed out late(EMHs) put a lightweight jacket on the kids. The following week they had a cold front come through and I think the high was 60. We were very comfortable and the crowds were very low. Had a wonderful time!! I hope you have a great trip and watch the weather channel to know for sure.

We were there Feb 2-7 2006. It was warm 2 days, the day we got there and the day we left. The other days, we needed jeans/pants and long sleeve shirts (and rain ponchos lol). At night, it would've been nice to have heavy jackets - not parkas but definately heavier than windbreakers. I took fleece jackets, and I layered them over hoodies over long sleeve shirts over tshirts, with gloves. It was see-your-breath cold. My boys ended up wearing and rewearing the few pairs of jeans/pants I packed and all those cute shorts never made it out of the suitcases.

Still, we loved this time of yr.
Next time, I'll be packing more of the cold-weather clothes.

We were there Feb. 1-7 this year. The kids all had thoses zip-off pants. It worked really well for us. We started off most days in sweatshirts, took them off and unzipped the pants till dinner, and then started putting everything back on for the evening. We did use our ponchos a lot. We also spent a day at BB so you never know.

We also did the shirt thing...all of us including my mom and aunt. We bought Incredible shirts and matching Mickey shirts at the Disney store. We then had a color of the day for the rest of the days. We did green, orange, blue... It really helped keep everyone together.

We went two years ago the second week in Feb. and it was chilly the first day and then it went up into the 80's for the rest of the trip and it was gorgeous. What a great feeling to be floating in the pool at 11 pm knowing back home everyone is fighthing the cold and snow (in Buffalo). If you are famialiar with the Farmers Almanac you could check them out. They predict what the whole year is going to be like day-to-day for different "zones" across the country. They have always been right on the money when we've gone. And I hope they right this time because we'll be down in the World the second week in Feb. this year also and they predict it's going to be unseasonably warm. POP here we come!!

I was there last year in Feb and it was freezing!! If I remember correctly, the first day was nice but the rest of the time was very cold. My down coat came in handy at night. Be prepared for anything.

We've gone in Febuary for the last two years and the weather is gorgous. Not too hot but not too cold!

Thank you! I cannot wait, I hope the weather is nice! Anything has to be better than what we'll be having at home at the time! We are staying offsite in a condo with a washer/dryer in the unit, so I think I'm going to do 2 sets of shirts for everyone, maybe a long sleeve tee and a sweatshirt, then just wash them each night. That should help eliminate some extra baggage and give me extra room for the 'just in case' clothes.

I hope that Farmer's Almanac is right again! We'll be there Feb 7-13.
