Ditto! It was the best weather we have had in all 7 trips I've taken there! We used to go in Feb during Pres. week vacation, went once in Jan and once in April for Easter (band trip ugg) but early May was best!

We went May 2-8 last year. 80's but our first three days were solid rain. We still had a blast though :)

(watch out for love bugs, though. mostly an issue with keeping your car clean.)

I don't remember needing a light jacket or even sweater in the evenings our last May trip. Hoping for the same this time around!

My mom and I used to go the first or second week of May for Mother's Day. There were trips where it was well into the 90's. Very little rain.

It's a great time to go. Very warm, though not like July/August heat/humidity. Epcot's Flower and Garden also.

I have been 7 times in the first half of May. It is usually very warm to hot. Our first trip it was in the mid 90's every day. A couple other trips were like that as well.
Then there were the trips where it was in the 8-'s and occasionally went into the low 90's. I think once it was in the high 70's to low 80's. Had very little rain on those trips though at least one downpour per trip that lasted 15 minutes or so. Nights are awesome!

We have been the last three Mays and are going again this May. Temps are moderate mid 80s, but we did have some days that were heavy downpours most of the day. Don't underestimate the possibility of rain. It doesn't have to ruin your trip, but you might want to be prepared with ponchos, extra pair of shoes (since yours will need to dry more than overnight to be wearable), stroller cover if you are using a stroller. If you are planning a water park, it gets a little tougher because you can't really just tour through the rain at a water park like you can in a park. So you might need to switch days around at the last minute, which can wreck havoc on ADRs and FP+. But there is not much to do other than roll with it, as no one can control the weather! The weather forecasters often call for 50% chance of rain every day, but that is not 50% chance it will rain all day, just at some point in the day. So don't let that discourage you either. I think May is a great time to go!

I'll be there 5/3 to 5/8 and have gone that week twice before. The last two times I went that week it was unseasonably hot with temps in the mid to upper 90s. So if it is in the mid 80s, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I am not packing any pants, but I'll wear jeans on the plane (I can't wear shorts on an airplane) and that will be my one pair of long pants. I'll also bring one maxi dress if I want to wear it at night -- as we do plan to take afternoon breaks at the pool at our resort.

We are on the final countdown to our first May trip (38 days to go!) and this thread is rather cheering. All of our other trips have been in late December, January or end of August, and we've had our share of unseasonable cold and searing heat (with some really, really nice days thrown in for good measure). I am just hoping for sunshiny skies.....friends of ours travelled the end of April/first week of May last year, and got a good soaking almost every day.

We normally go late April into May. Typically it's low 80s with little rain but last year we went from April 30 to May 9 and it was rainier and hotter than normal. It hit 90 at least half of our trip and we had 2 very rainy days early on. I got back and still had Orlando weather on my phone and mid May after we returned was actually cooler.

This was our experience last year. Much hotter than prior May trips. Hoping we have better luck this time around. We arrive May 4th.
