Can anyone tell me what the weathers like in August,I know it's HOT but what about the rain It say's 7.5 in. does it rain all day or just for a little while alot. We norally go in May but we would like to try August once.

last of august into sept and yes it did rain each day for which we were eternally grateful...sort of cooled off the air and then it would be so humid again .......but the rain came and went so fast....except some occasional thunder showers

During my Aug 2003 trip I was in Disney for almost 2 weeks with a 3-day cruise in the middle and it only rained 2 of the days......... I was there for a week in Aug 1999 and it only rained for 30 minutes on one of the days.... In 2000, I was there for a week in Aug and it rained 2 of the days.... one of them was non-stop from 5:30 pm til Midnight so that messed up that night..... But as you can see I've had good luck so far.....
I am going this year for almost 2 weeks in August....

We've done August a couple times now. Frankly, we like it. It's darn hot -- but that's what those pools are for. As for the rain -- you could almost set your clock by it. Every day around 4:30, it's as if the skies can't stand the heat anymore, can't hold another ounce of humidity, and so they "cry" about it... all over you! Fear not -- you'll be glad they did. Really helps clear the air and makes you feel that much fresher (So long as you aren't standing outside when it happens!) ;) Because those late afternoon showers are usually of the torrential downpour, thunder-n-lightening variety.

Now I will say, that's what happens NORMALLY. Our friends went the week before us (1st week of August) when a slow-moving tropical storm came through and they had rain, rain, rain for 5 days. We wnet the next week and had a hurricane (Charley) and yet only had it for maybe half a day! Rest of our week was essesntially clear, except for the afternoon showers. Go figure -- like anything else, it's the luck of the draw. BUt on average, barring freakish storms, expect to have late afternoon "purges" from the sky, and otherwise, hot days and warm nights.
