This is less about hurricanes, since we didn’t have one, and more about the weather, generally.
It was hot. So hot! We wore 2 sets of clothes each day (one for morning touring and one for late afternoon/evening). Most days it rained at some point and we used our ponchos if we were in the park (some of us just decided to get wet and roll with it).
If more than a little rain was possible, we wore flip flops. It was fun. Two days were torrential (no hurricane, tho), and we gave up one afternoon and the other we waited in a covered area until it lightened enough to make a break for our fp ride.
Hats for all of us, every day.
We used
cooling towels that I soaked whenever we took a bathroom break.
I also poured water on us several times.
In addition to drinking water a lot, a cold smoothie or shake helped, as well.
Hot yes, but super fun still. The only place that really was awful was Toy Story Land. The lack of shade was hard and was making us sick. We luckily found a table right next to the giant fan when getting a late breakfast at Woody’s and we ate and poured water over each other.
Time-wise, 3pm-nearly sunset was the worst, so we tried to stay in pools or relaxing in the room during that time.
