Weather in 2nd week of Oct.??

We're planning a camping trip to WDW in OCt. 06' and I'm getting nervous hearing all this talk about the rain during that time. Camping in the middle of a monsoon? We did that once and our tent flooded it rained so hard. (The air mattress went floating by with all our stuff piled on it! no kidding )
So anyway, please someone?!!? Talk to me about the weather in October??!!

We have been to Disney both the 1st week of Oct (2003) and then the 2nd week of Oct (2004). Weather was in the mid-upper 80's both weeks (more humidity the first week, though), and we did not see a speck of rain either trip!!! We love the weather in October!!!

We were there the first week of Oct. this past year (2005) and it was hot. I'm from the south and know what hot it, and it was hot. It did rain every day pretty much, usually not for long, but it did rain.

We were there this past Oct. It rained EVERY day. But like previous poster said, not very long each time. We never let it slow us down though. Camping in it might have been a hassle. And yes it was extremely hot and humid. And we are from South Texas, so we know hot and humid, however I was uncomfortable. We are pushing our 2006 trip up a week in hopes of "slightly" less humidity. The heat I can deal with.

We went Oct 14-23, 2005. We had FABULOUS weather! It was in the 80's every day. Shorts and T-shirts all day, every day. I am a wimp about being cold and carried a jacket sometimes in the morning, but that was mainly because it was cold in the food court at Pop.

We got drenched on our very last day at AK watching the parade, but that was because Hurricane Wilma was coming. Otherwise we didn't get rained on at all. I do think it might have rained one other afternoon while we were napping, but by the time we went to dinner it had stopped.

I was there from October 8th to 16th for the last 2 years(2003, 2004) and had great weather. Very hot and one day of rain each trip.
