We're sailing on the Wonder from Galveston to San Juan in January and wanted to know what the weather is like that time of year. Thanks so much.

We will be with you. It can be anywhere from cold and rainy to warm and sunny. We sailed out of Galveston December 2013. It was beautiful all of the way, except for the last day turned cold and stormy. When we got back to Galveston it was in the 30's. Of course that was during the massive ice storm up in Dallas (where we live).

Last year we sailed out of Florida and it was so cold that there was NEVER a line for the Aqua Duck. The seas were too choppy for us to dock at Castaway Cay.

I'm guessing when we get to the ports and to San Juan the weather should be rather nice - but that time of year there is always the possibility of rain.

We are flying on to Orlando, so we are definitely packing for any kind of weather. Thats the real risk of sailing in January

Thanks for the info. Sounds like it's all up in the air, so to speak. Hopefully it'll be clear sailing. So it looks like we'll need layers.
