This is our second trip to the world. Again we are going for the last two days of April and first week of May. I can't remember how warm it really feels that time of year....can I get by with a light jacket? Do you pack any long pants? Thanks!!
Traveling in May is our month of choice... I don't remember ever needing warmer clothes on our last trip...but that was 4 years ago...
My plan is to dress everyone a little warmer on our travel day... We're coming from Philly at 7am, so it's likely to be chilly... Probably jeans, tshirts and hoodies... then when we get to Florida we can change if needed... the hoodies will be our backup for the week...and we'll have the jeans to return home in...
This will be our third time going at the end of April/first of May and I don't plan on packing any jeans. We wear jeans, tshirts and sweatshirts to the airport and going home but while we are there it is only shorts and tshirts; even in the evenings you shouldn't need long pants or jackets. Have a great time.
NO PARKA! Leave it at home. We bring one pair of long pants and those are what we wear on the plane. I think the only people wearing parkas will be the locals.
Another vote to ditch the parka ! We always travel in May and love the weather. For us in the last 4 years weather has ranged from 80 to 94 degrees. We have never had to wear long pants and only broke out the sweatshirts on travel day a couple years ago when we arrived into a thunderstorm. DH and I wear comfies on the plane, the Ds's wear those zip off pants. They take great joy in plopping down in the middle of MCO and zipping off their legs !
