Hello, well this is my second post so I am not sure if I am in the right place:confused3 My family and I are going to WDW January 3-10, 2009 for my parents 30th wedding anniversary. They wanted to take my sister and I and our families with them since we are such a big part of those 30 years, of course we could not say no to that...my sister and I have been 5 times however it will be the first time going in January(we usually go in May and June when it is very hot and humid). My DH and DD have not been either so this will be a 1st for them. So my question is to all of you who have been in January, what is the weather like? I am from N. California so very cold for us but I was not sure what I should pack especially for my DD who will be almost 2 when we go. Thanks in advance for the advice!!

It's all over the map. We were there last January, and there was a 40 degree swing during our five day visit. We started the first day at a lovely 80 degrees. By Wednesday, we were all in scarves, hats and mittens -- the high was 40 degrees. So you could need everything from shorts to sweaters -- it totally just depends. (But it was lovely, and we had a great time. And personally, I'd rather deal with the cold than the steam bath that is Orlando in summer.)

That's very true. Our weather is crazy in the winter. :thumbsup2

We brought a little bit of every kind of clothing. Some days we were wearing shorts with t-shirts and two days later we were wearing jeans with sweatshirts.

Bring a bit of everything for 3 seasons as you could run into that within a 24 hour period that time of year. Definately bring a jacket for at night and I always bring gloves. Even if I don't use them, I'd rather be comfortable than freezing.

Thanks for the thread and the info - I'm hoping to go in Jan. 2010:banana:

gotta pay stoopid bills first:eek:
