Our 1st trip for Xmas this year and i'm concerned about weather that time of year... Anybody who has been there in the past in Dec or people planning trips for Dec. with an insight I would love some info.

1 less thing to worry about for the trip would be awesome!!!

Thanx for any info

You need to pack for hot and cold weather. We have been at WDW from Dec. 14-24--three trips. We have worn shorts and also winter coats and gloves.

I just noticed that we will be at WDW at the same time.

I agree exactly with "John's Mom".
I would watch Accuweather.com (it seems to be more accurate for FL.)
Start watching the month before, it gives you a nice advance view of the upcoming week...

And you might have to wait until a few days before you go to make the final decision.
I have been there when there was frost on my windshield after leaving the MK. We had coats and gloves on (they do sell thin gloves and hats in the stores on colder days and nights).
Some years we wore shorts the whole week..

Have a great time!!

I was there last Dec 8-15 and it was low to mid 80's every day. But many people have told me that they have been in December and it was much cooler than that. I know it doesn't make it easy, but you should pack for both. Even if it is looking like it is going to be cool this Dec, I'll still bring some shorts just in case...last year I was lucky that I did!

If this your first time going for Christmas, you are going to be blown away by the decorations. I hope you get to go to the MVMCP.........they make is "snow" on main street!! As far as the weather, we too have been down when its been hot and cold. Our last december trip it was windy at night and chilly, we also wore sweatshirts and hats and gloves. During the day it was like a crisp new england fall day. I would bring a little of both like someone else posted and then just layer. my husband laughs at me because I usually bring a back pack with a sweatshirt or an extra shirt and gloves for each of us......he calls it our "adult diaper bag"........he wasnt laughing so hard after his hands were cold and I pulled out a pair of his gloves though......LOL You can also bring extra stuff and leave it in the lockers if you dont feel like lugging it around with you too. Have a great time !!!!

We were there last December (1st week) and it was shorts and t-shirt weather. We packed a hats, gloves, & sweaters but never took them out of the suitcase. Doesn't hurt to be prepared though.

In 12/06, we were there for 10 days. We started off w/some down time at the pool at the beginning of our stay, but the night we went MVMCP, we were in our down coats, hats and mittens. The snow falling could have been real, it was that cole. It actually added to our experience! :yay:
You will be making wonderful memories, no matter the weather.:lovestruc
